So let me clear up any confusion with the name before we get started. These are Eleganti by Secrets in Lace, however they are sold by Vicky’s Nylons. I literally had to re-watch my packaging video to make sure that I got the information right before I started to write this blog up for you all.
Now that is cleared up, I wanted to create something a little different. I have this new skirt which I have been dying to wear, and instead of dressing it up, I wanted to create something a little more casual.

I paired up my oversized t-shirt with my slit skirt and added some plain court shoes to finish off the look. You can always switch to boots or pumps, and even trainers to play with different looks.

The Review

The Packaging
Getting Them On: getting those hosiery gloves on, I did my little scrunch and roll up the legs. I took care going over my anklets and also going slow to ensure I’m getting a straight backseam too. Luckily I scrunched them down straight, so it wasn’t too much hassle to get them to line up.
On The Legs: I am loving the finish! This is a smooth, silky looking pair with a great bold backseam. It looks super flawless, especially with the flash on and you have a semi-matte shine (to be fair that is more my legs than the stockings).
The quality I have to say is not bad; I say this as I found these snag very easily. I ended up getting a few dotted around the legs, which I wasn’t too happy with. Apart from that, they have been great all day and thankfully, they have no turned into runs down the legs!
The fit of these are true to size, and fit like a dream. As these were the perfect size for me, I got that fitted finish for most of the day before it started to loosen around the legs. This happens with 100% nylons, so it’s pretty much expected. I didn’t mind that though as I loved the look with my outfit today. You can always opt for one size up if you wish, however I will always say check the sizing guide before purchasing!
The feel of them are super smooth and so soft; basically how it looks is what you get here. I loved the way it felt against the skin, and it’s such a joy to be in. I will say that you will feel the backseam raised as I feel this this sewn on after to give it that bold look.
The Toes & Ankle: now we are working with some good caps on these toes! I love how they cover the toes well at the front, and there is great capping on the soles too. You can also see where the backseam starts! One thing I do like is that the caps come with reinforcement around it, so it isn’t just the cap and straight into the nylons.
I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and breathe during the day, and a lovely fitted finish around the feet and ankles. I did have them slightly wrinkle by the end of the day, but for the majority it was completely fine.
These also come with heel caps, which slightly bend round the foot. I love this little addition, and gives it that pure vintage look.
The Bands: now this is what lets the pair down slightly; the print goes through the bands and I had to prise them apart. I always though something would be inserted inside to stop that from happening, but clearly not this time. I also found just under the welt, some of the stitching is lacking and it looks pretty messy. I wanted a finished look, but didn’t get it this time. There are a few sad points here, but apart from that I liked them.
You get the logo on one side of the leg, which tends to be the right leg so it stands out. I also like how these stretch out to your leg shape, so it makes it comfortable to wear all day long. These also hold up very well with my metal clasps and do not budge once set, which is another good point!
My Thoughts?
I quite like this pair to be honest, and I love the way they look on the legs. It’s a shame about the quality, but otherwise I think they are a great pair. I am hoping that not all the pairs are like this, as I would certainly recommend these!
