DIM Bodytouch Absolut Resist Tights

I’m trying out a new brand today: DIM. I have never heard of this brand before, until I found it on Amazon and added it to my wishlist.

I did try to hunt for more information about their brand however they don’t have an ‘About Us’ section on their website. So if anyone knows anything about this brand, please do feel free to message so I can update the blog with it.

Simple and chic is my look today, with a long black cardigan paired on top when I’m outside. I wore my flared polka dot dress, and paired up my ankle strap court shoes to finish the look You can always switch to sandals if you prefer a more summery feel, but I preferred shoes with my outfit today.

The Review

The Packaging

Getting Them On: once I got them out the packaging, I could feel they weren’t as soft as they looked. So I had to be slow and careful getting these on the legs today. I did my scrunch and roll, taking care going over my anklets. Once I got past them, I slowly shimmied them up the legs and set in place.

On The Legs: so the denier is interesting. I feel it looks darker than 20, but close up it looks lighter. It’s like an illusion – playing with my mind! These were great to pair up with my dress today, as it shaded slightly darker when my dress was down (I wanted it like this for my outfit today).

Okay so I need to speak about these horrible rings that are around the legs. This really puts me off when hosiery does this. From afar, it seems ok until you get a little closer. I thought it was me at first, so I rolled them down and back up again, until I realised it was the tights. The fact it isn’t where they would have stretched around the thighs, is what baffles me. I am certainly not impressed with this to be honest, and luckily I am wearing a long enough dress to cover most of it.

The quality is not making me smile today, with the amount of markings I am dealing with. I did manage to keep it snag and rip free, all thanks to my dress covering my legs today. I will need to re-wear these with a shorter dress or skirt and test them out once again.

The fit was perfect for me; I felt there was enough stretch to give as much even coverage as possible. I didn’t have gapping around the knees or ankles either – always a bonus.

The feel of these were a little grainy, but still relatively soft. My dress could brush past it without getting caught, so that was something. They didn’t irritate my skin whilst I was in them for the whole day.

Now these are suppose to be snag-free, and run resistant. I haven’t put this to the test, but in my next wear I will be for sure just to see…

Nevertheless, I’m just disappointed with how these turned out…

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, we have nice, thick reinforced toes that cover the toe area well. I found them to be a little too big, with material wrinkled up at the end of my toes when I first got them on. But I cannot complain that I don’t have any wiggle room for my toes to breathe in these.

Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish with no wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: so the waistband is an interesting one. I have this scalloped finish at the top, with a thin elasticated band. The band itself was a little too loose for my waist and it didn’t hug as well as I wanted it to. Cute design, but doesn’t do the job basically.

The boxer brief part starts from the top thigh all the way to the waistband. This is something I would prefer not to have as part of my hosiery as it limits the amount of clothing I can pair them with. It is a rougher texture than the rest of the legs, and my dress did rub against this pair during the day.

The gusset is present, and it sits flush against the skin. It is a palm sized cotton piece, which you can see in the packaging video at the beginning of the review.

My Thoughts?

I can’t say I am too keen on this pair, as the markings really put me off. I will be trying these out again and testing the resistant quality element to them. Apart from that, I wouldn’t really recommend these – they did let me down and luckily my dress was long enough to cover them.
