Co Op Seam Free RHT Stockings – Part 1

Let us slip back into some RHT Stockings. I do like being in these every so often rather than everyday; it gives you a chance to miss them and experiment with other qualities that hosiery has to offer.

So this pair is a bargain find off eBay – I got them for around £5.00 and I was super surprised to find 2 different pairs inside this packaging. So I will be doing this blog in 2 parts 🙂 I didn’t expect that to happen and I don’t even think the seller knew there were 2 pairs inside.

Anyways, this will be part 1 🙂

My Outfit

Sipping into a new dress that I had not long bought just to really jazz them up! I paired the ruffle tie dress with my silver strap heels. You can easily go for barely there sandals or court shoes. As I haven’t worn this pair in so long, I wanted to pull them out and dress them up.

The Review

The Packaging: it was interesting to see how these came as I didn’t even know that Co-Op did hosiery! This must have been a good while back as you can tell with the packaging. It shows a partial amount of the foot at the front and the back is completely plain. I have no other details whatsoever about this pair.

When I got in and unfolded it all out, that’s when I noticed that it had 2 pairs. They are 2 different shades of nude, and the band and foot section differ slightly. Otherwise they pretty much look and feel the same.

Getting Them On: a little scrunch and roll on the feet and up the legs has never been so easy. I took my time over the anklets, otherwise they were super easy to get on the legs. I got a size which I knew would fit really well and sit high enough on my thighs.

On The Legs: I am working with such a lovely bronze colour today. It does shade slightly different depending on the lighting, but these give a lovely bronze look to the legs. These would work so well in Spring-Autumn (or as long as the sun is out).

The quality of these are really nice. They are a mesh pair, and you’ll be able to see that up close a little further down. This means there won’t be any stretch to them so expect some wrinkles and gapping in places. I didn’t have as much as these fit me so well and I had them tight at the top so it would reduce how much wrinkling goes on. I did manage to damage these around the ankles which I was so sad about!

The fit of them were perfect for my leg length and size. I felt if I went 1 size smaller, they would have sat lower on the legs and been a little tight in places. 1 size bigger and I would playing with wrinkles all over and a band that is trying to go over my tushy. If you can, get hold of a sizing chart where they work in numbers and feet size so you know roughly what size you’ll be.

The feel of them are not bad; the aren’t super soft as you can feel the mesh when you run your hands over them. They are a smooth mesh, which means these won’t irritate your legs unless you and mesh don’t mix.

The Toes & Ankle: right so this is interesting as this pair has the reinforced toes but not the heels. So technically these cannot be classed as RHT. As you can see, these have the toe strip going across the front and it extends at the back of the foot to give a bit of reinforcement on the soles. I’ve not seen that before, but I quite liked how unique it looks.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and breathe, and no pressure was added onto the toes. Around the feet and ankles, I had plenty of room and they weren’t too fitted so it felt tights. I didn’t encounter many wrinkles around the ankles unless I was walking.

The Bands: are lovely and so soft against the skin. These are nylon, which I think works well against the mesh leg. My clasps hooked on really well to the welt and I loved the way they sat. These do stretch out to your thighs so when you next get into them, you should have the perfect fit.

Plus I love the contrast; the darker welt against the sheer leg. It’s one of my favourites!

I couldn’t sit these any higher as that is the highest it would go for me. I wouldn’t sit any lower unless I was after some wrinkling on the legs.

My Thoughts?

I gotta say these are really nice, however I was a little disappointed that these did not have reinforced heels. Apart from that, I thought they looked lovely on the legs, and the quality is pretty good even though I did end up laddering them slightly!
