Clio Sock Tights

Some pieces earn their place in your wardrobe not just because they look good, but because they quietly solve a problem you didn’t even realise you were tolerating. The Clio Sock Tights are exactly that kind of discovery. Gifted to me by a dear friend in Australia, these tights arrived with both thoughtful intention and perfect timing – just as Winter turns to Spring. At first glance, they look like a classic pair of thicker denier tights, but look a little closer and you’ll spot the clever detail that makes them stand out: a built-in sock section from foot to ankle, seamlessly stitched in for extra warmth and comfort.

It’s a design that feels tailor-made for boot season, long walks, and those days when you want your outfit to look polished but still feel properly cosy. Because let’s be honest, cold feet can ruin even the best-planned look. In this post, I’m taking you through how these tights fit, how they feel, and how they perform in real life, as well as how they style with different outfits and footwear. From practicality to aesthetics, these are the kind of tights that make you rethink what “winter hosiery” should really be.

My Outfit

Honestly the weather is a little drab, so I’m keeping cosy. I went with my frill dress, added a waist belt and some good thigh high boots to finish the look. I wanted something simple yet chic for today – and this works for me.

The Review

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these are some lovely tights. I didn’t wear gloves this time as the material is so soft and silky, that I just wanted to hands to touch them as much as I could whilst rolling them on. They glided with such ease; it was amazing. I didn’t have to tug or pinch them into place either.

On The Legs: these are more of a semi-matte finish, which I really like. They make my legs look lovely and toned, but give me that little lustre shine every so often when it catches the light right. I couldn’t get a picture of the shine as the flash wasn’t getting it as well as I would have hoped.

The quality of these are nice; they lasted me pretty well, until I managed to snag them in a few places. Luckily they’re not noticeable at all with them being a higher denier.

The fit of these were great; they fit me so well, and still had enough stretch to them so they moved with me all day. I didn’t have any wrinkling around the knees, which I was expecting (especially with higher deniers).

The feel of them are really nice; they are super soft and really smooth to touch, both inside and out. I had no irritation whatsoever, which was nice. They were a dream to be in, and I could happily be in them all day long.

The Toes & Ankle: now here is where it gets interesting, and I absolutely love it. From the ankle down, these turn into socks. I mean… how awesome is this?! They are made so well; they are really warm and quite thick, but not thick enough that they’re bulky. I tested them in my boots, and honestly I have never felt so comfortable. I usually put socks on top of my tights when it comes to my boots, and this eliminates that layering!

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added either.

The Waistband & Gusset: we have a good waistband here. I had no issues with the band at all; it stayed up all day, it did not roll down on itself or shimmy when I was on the move.

I also had plenty of elasticity in it too.

My Thoughts?

If you can get your hands on them, please do. Because these have become a favourite of mine and I cannot wait to be in them more!
