Charnos Bridal Lace Top Stockings

So when I say this blog has taken me 13 attempts (well 14), it really does show I need to get into the swing of things. I was so geared up and ready for this, and that thing some people call writer’s block – it’s real!

Now that I’ve started, it isn’t so bad so let me keep on going!

Right this blog is one that would have worked so well for Summer (I know), however in my eyes I like to be different and this is something I would totally wear with a faux fur jacket to an evening meal or the theatre!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these were a doddle to get on this morning. I did my scrunch and roll up the legs, taking care of my anklets as I go along. I didn’t have to tug them much as there was plenty of material to work with before I set them in place. I didn’t sit them as high as I would normally due to the deep welt.

On The Legs: let me just say I LOVE THIS NATURAL FINISH ON THE LEGS! Literally this blends in so well with my skin colour, that it practically looks invisible! – Plus it makes the white welt totally stand out in the crowd! I absolutely love this colour – one for the win!!!

The quality is lovely – this is a pair that will last a while as long as you look after them. I was in them for a good while today, and not once did they snag or damage in any way. Plus to be fair, even if it did, it’s not like you would see it…

The fit on these are amazing. I thought it might have sat a lot lower on me, but in actual fact I had enough material for great leg coverage and there was no tugging involved when getting these on. I did have the option to sit them much higher up the high, but I chose not to as I wanted the deep welt to work with the dress. Bonus point is there was no gapping behind the knees either!

The feel of these are so good! They are so soft and super smooth, that my dress just glides right past them. My skin has been irritation-free in them too, which makes them perfect to be in all day long.

The Toes & Ankle: I believe these don’t come with reinforced toes, which to me is a total shame. They would have been the perfect pair if they just included reinforced toes! So make sure you keep those toenails short or smooth if you’re gonna be in them for a long time. I had to take extra care as my toes were out in these heels, so any slipping feet would have ripped right through these.

I had no pressure on my toes whilst I was in these, and there was plenty of wiggle room for my toes. Around the feet and ankles, I had a lovely smooth finish with no wrinkling.

The Bands: would you check out this thing of beauty?! I absolutely love these welts.

Firstly it works so well with the dress, making them really pop. Secondly I love how deep they are, and that contrast with the champagne coloured material. These are made with such a lovely, soft lace that just sits nicely on the skin without causing any irritation.

They are that light and delicate, I actually didn’t feel them under my dress at all. These don’t have much elasticity in them, but it was enough to still hug my thighs without squeezing the life out of them.

My Thoughts?

Yes please I am here for this! I absolutely love this pair, and honestly I would go out in these again and again as they are so nice to be in! A big thumbs up from me.
