I haven’t done tattoo tights in a while… so here we are with a pair from CdR to try out. I know that Guilia and Gatta did have some great ones which I have reviewed some time ago and loved, but I didn’t realise that CdR did some too!

Going a little casual today, with my cropped t-shirt and my skirt (I don’t know the actual term for this skirt by the way) and pairing up my suede platform heels. I switched to my black/white vans later on in the day as they worked so well.

The Review

The Packaging

Getting Them On: so we are working with the tattoos being on the left hand side. I was hoping they would be on the right leg instead, but never mind. I did my scrunch and roll, and took my time getting them on this morning. I wanted to test if I could over stretch them slightly to see if it affects the design – it does. I just rolled them on and set them in place.

On The Legs: so I am loving the tattoo design. It’s different, it’s intricate and it’s lovely! I like that it goes up one side of the leg, but I don’t like that it goes over my thigh tattoo, so it loses that ‘natural tattoo’ look. I did find that when stretched a little too much, the design goes a fainter black, so you end up seeing some part that are more blacker than others.

I am not fully sold on the ‘Natural’ colour, as this is lighter than my skin tone, and even though it did end up blending well, I felt it was a little too light for my liking. I personally would have preferred the colours Dore or Moreno to add a sun-kissed tan.

The quality of this pair is nice; it does the job and does it well. I didn’t end up with any snags or damage, which is always a good sign. The only thing I would just repeat is the tattoo design shading lighter than other parts, which makes it look a little off.

The fit of these are true to size, and I didn’t have to tug at these hard to get them to sit where I want them to. I had plenty of stretch to them to achieve even leg coverage, which I was concerned about considering CdR’s sizing is a little weird.

The feel of these are smooth, and super soft on the legs. The tattoo is a print on top of the tights, and I will say that after some time in them, it does start to crack. I didn’t experience any irritation, which is a thumbs up!

The Toes & Ankle: these don’t come with reinforced toes, which is a shame. I would prefer reinforcement with these, as they are sheer and it just gives that extra bit of security when you’re in heels too.

I did find the toe seam on the left hand side kept turning during my wear. I did take them off and start again, lining it up to my toes, however it still continues to keep turning.

I had plenty of wiggle room, and no pressure was added during my wear either. Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth, wrinkle-free finish.

The Waistband & Gusset: now the band and panty part… The panty part is great and a nice touch for those who like this. It also acts like a reinforcement for this area, so if you wish to go commando, you can do so.

The band itself has plenty of stretch to it, and doesn’t lose its elasticity during the day. One thing I didn’t like was that it kept rolling over itself. Luckily I wasn’t wearing anything fitted, so it didn’t show through, but it is annoying that it doesn’t sit flush against my waist.

These come with a cotton gusset, that sits flush against the skin too, and doesn’t move out of place during the day.

My Thoughts?

A great playful pair! I love that tattoo design, which from far does look realistic! I like the quality of this pair, and the fit was just right for me. I would happily recommend 🙂
