Cecilia De Rafael Country Tights

Back into thick deniers, because right now I have no choice – I have a lot of them to get through for winter (but I secretly love it as they’re keeping my legs super warm)

This is another pair that was sent to me from CdR with very limited details!

The Spec

Colour: Black

Size: 4 – Large

Denier: 50

My Outfit

So pretty smartish to work today wearing my collared dress. I wore my court shoes with these, but ended up leaving them at work as it was raining!

The Review

The Packaging:as it’s come straight from the brand itself, there was no outer packaging to these apart from a small tag stating what pair they are and the size.

Once you get in, you will find these slightly shaped to your feet and legs, so I followed that to get my hosiery on.

On The Legs: now these are thick! They are a proper heavy denier with the design just fainty coming through. This is mainly got to do with the size being a bit too big for me, as the small would have had the denier slightly lighter and the design showing through a lot more.

The quality of these are ok; they can snag very easily let me just add as it did get caught a few times at work which I wasn’t too pleased about.

The fit and feel of them are good (not great); they fit really well on the legs and they are pretty smooth to touch. You do get a slight bit of roughness to them but nothing major; they won’t make your legs itch or feel uncomfortable is what I meant.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes will have plenty of reinforcement here. They didn’t have any extra material on the sides, they fit the toes fine and they had plenty of breathing and wiggle room.

Now the ankles were my issue; I tried to take a decent picture but the lighting was so wrong here. Basically they did end up crinkling down at the ankles, which I half expected as there was some weight to these tights I felt.

The Waistband: now the band was good to begin with, but I found these to start rolling over itself causing it to dig in a little and also show through my dress at times. I hate it when the band does this as it makes it uncomfortable at times.

My Thoughts?

So not my favourite I have to say; I do like the design (where you can see it) but overall the fit and the band really did put me off a tad. Sorry CdR, not doing it for me this time.

  1. The review was helpful and after reading was surprised being CDR weren’t much better quality. For the reasons above these I would not buy so for me these are a thumbs down.
