CalzItaly Push Up Leggings with Faux Fur

It’s been a while since I have reviewed leggings. I do wear them from time to time, but this pair is something a little different. These were kindly gifted off my Amazon Wishlist a little while back. I thought these would work better this time of ear rather than in Summer, so I held onto them waiting for the right moment to bring them out to review

My Outfit

I kept the outfit simple for work today, with a flowy oversized shirt and a matching cami top underneath. I added simple court shoes to finish the look. You can always add nylon socks to elevate the look, or maybe switch the footwear to your choice.

The Review

From The Website: Push up shaper leggings made of high quality Italian materials.
High waistband which flats the stomach and particular push up structure which lifts the buttocks and shape
the hips to get incredible visible results. The new and particular detail of these leggings is the bottom part at the ankle, with a faux fur 10 cm ring in a nice chromatic contrast. A fashion stylish touch to the pantyhose which everyone will notice.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I still do a scrunch and roll – yes even with leggings. These were a tight squeeze to begin with, but once I shimmied my way into them, they were completely fine. I got the leggings on first, and then set the cuff in place before I rolled them up.

On The Legs: so I don’t have much to say in this section but I will try to be as thorough as I can.

So let me start with the fit of the leggings. Even though I did struggle a little getting them on, they were the perfect fit once set in place. They are a really good, thick denier that does not show through in any way. I did some squats etc to test this, and they safely passed the test; nothing was exposed or looked see-through. That is a big thing for me, even though I always cover the top part of them, I still want to know that nothing is being shown through by accident. These don’t tend to wrinkly much around the knees unless they have slightly hiked up. They did from time to time, but not a biggie.

The quality of this pair are great. They really did well during the day and I did not end up with any damage. They can probably pill with consistent wear, but you can always take a razor blade and clean this up from time to time. I liked that they looked like a good quality pair of leggings.

The feel of them are lovely and soft; both outside and inside. These are comfortable to wear the whole day without feeling like you’re ready to get them off. I liked that you can also pair up a pair of tights underneath (they do have to be a lower denier as these leggings are fitted) or create some great styles.

Now these are supposed to have a shaper element to it. To be honest, I am not too sure if I actually believe it. I know these were snug to get on, but I thought that would be to the material bunching up whilst I was getting them up the legs. They probably do, and I am so for it as it would be pretty subtle compared to compression tights and how they can feel. I will say they did smooth the look of my legs – is that part of it?

Around The Ankle: I love these cuffs, but it’s a shame they are not detachable. I do like them and they work so well for an Autumnal/Winter look, but I won’t really be able to wear them all year round.

These are a 10cm cuff, that has faux fur lining on the front, and just a plain cuff inside of the leg. I will say that this part can scratch the skin a little, or feel a little rough against the skin. I didn’t expect it but worth nothing if you have sensitive skin.

There is plenty of room around the cuff, so you shouldn’t struggle getting these over your feet. These also don’t sit flush against the skin, so you will see some gapping here.

The Waistband & Gusset: okay so the shaper part / push up part is also here I believe. Now I can say that I do not feel it around the waist or tushy.

The band gives the illusion of making it slimmer around the waist, however this band was a little loose for me. This did not hug my waist well, and I don’t know if that plays a part in the ‘shaper’ element not working.

Even around the tushy and the front, I didn’t find a ‘firming’ element to it. They just felt like normal leggings to me to be honest. I do like that these fit me well around here, and did not look baggy.

Now this ‘push up’ element that stems from the band – something I cannot vouch for. To me, my body parts still look the same without anything looking elevated or ‘pushed up’. It doesn’t look any different to me, and if it was there – it’s not very good!

My Thoughts?

I really like these as leggings to wear for this time of year. I love the quality, I love the look and I love the fit. They are a lovely comfortable pair, and with that added fur it just elevates the look. The only thing I don’t agree with is the shaper element – I don’t feel it works, but that’s me! Apart from that – I would recommend these.
