Calzedonia Pom Pom Tights

Another cute pair alert! Another cute pair alert!

I swear Calzedonia have been on top of their game with their hosiery lately; they were OK before, but oh my God the past year they have had some amazing designs come out! I actually ended up spending some serious money on their brand!

So this pair I bought from their London store when we went London for my mum’s birthday. I couldn’t just walk past a Calzedonia store and not buy any!

You can also get these online too – they’re on sale at the moment so not too sure how much longer they will be there for!

My Outfit

I decided to make my skirt the statement piece and pair with everything black! I wore a long sleeve black top tucked into my high waisted birdie skirt and then added my ankle strap heels so it kinda works with the pom pom at the back.

I added minimal jewellery to this and left my hair down 🙂

The Packaging: as I bought these from the store, these were in open packaging (and to be honest, with the pom pom, it needs to be so it’s not crushed down)

The front and back are really basic and doesn’t give too much info about them; just the size, materials, hosiery care etc. that you normally find.

Getting Them On: so once you unravel them from the cardboard packaging, they are ready to get on! You can tell front from back (the pom poms give it away). These are flat packed which means you won’t get any subtle leg outlines in these. Just scrunch and roll straight on!

On The Legs: these are so soft to touch and slightly silky too! Even though these are a matte finish, they are gorgeous!

They hug the legs really well too; no crinkles anywhere and no weird patchy parts either which is always good to see! Even if there is, just roll them down and slide gently back up to get rid of that!

The matte is a ‘dull’ type which means the legs to have more of a silhouette look to them. This is perfect for those who are keeping warm and keeping those hairs – you’re fully covered here as these are more on the 50 denier opaque side rather than the sheer.

Now let me mention the only downside to this pair is that they gather fluff. I had to keep dusting myself off to keep that black matte finish looking pristine. It’s not a massive issue, but just be warned there is a little downer point to them!

In terms of snagging, I didn’t get any in these and I was on the move today! I actually ended up banging into a couple of tables due to my carelessness (so expecting the bruises to pop up now!) but no a single defect on hosiery! WOOOOPPP!!

The Pom Poms: HOWWWWW CUUUTTTEEEEEEEE are these?! Like I mean I can’t get enough! I actually spent a good half an hour just playing with them (they’re just so soft!) before I started shooting the pics for the blog. They are just so cute!!!

So once again, I decided to mess with them and tug them throughout the day to trial out the durability and I got to say these are going strong! There is no sign of them coming away from the hosiery at all – these are a good pair! I thought they might just loosen a tad or start a little rip, but they actually didn’t!

Now I did have to pull these up a little higher to sit around the ankle part and not on my foot. I didn’t want to make them sit too high as I had the ankle strap going across.

The Toes & Ankles: there is plenty of wiggle room around the toes, but as you tug the material back for the pom pom to sit where it needs to, this adds pressure onto the toes. It kills me to say this, but you may need to move the toe seam further down the back of your toes so you can give yourself a little more room for your toes to wiggle and not feel so crowded.

Otherwise this areas is all good; nice, soft and smooth finish around the toes and feet overall!

Around the ankles, there is no sign of any crinkles or falling material as they hug the legs so well, so you don’t need to worry about granny ankles 😉

The Waistband & Gusset: once again I am impressed with their waistband. These sit around belly button level on me and stay put all day. There is no rolling on itself or slipping down during the day either, so you’re good for the next 24hours!

The gusset is a cotton one, reinforcement around it, so you’re all good to go commando-ers!

My Thoughts?

I think these are totally adorable! I love the denier giving those legs a killer look, I love the softness to them and I certainly am loving that cute pom pom design at the back. It just gives it a nice touch; something subtle yet playful and can be worn in so many ways too! I did it for work, but you can certainly wear them casually as well!

The fit, feel and look is just great and once again Calzedonia, you are killing it in my eyes!
