Still not getting over Christmas here as it literally shot by me this time around, so I am styling up an outfit where I can enjoy the vibe, and it works for work too!
Plus this is one of my new skirts I wanted to show off, that works so well with my chosen pair of hosiery today.
I bought these when they were in the sale from Calzedonia, so I am hoping they go back into the sale instead of you guys having to pay full price for the pair!

I did want to style these tights in a grungier way, but I decided to go quite girly instead. I opted for my turtle neck bodysuit, paired up with my new beaded skirt and matching heels to bring it all together.

Getting Them On: so let me tell you a little story of this morning. I was trying to work out which way to get them on; I kept switching them around because the start of the velvet bands were on the inside, which I thought would need to sit on the outside. I spent a lot of time doing this (call it around 15mins) before I got them on for the final time and realised you need to wrap the velvet string around and the bow ends up sitting on the outer leg. Honestly I don’t know why it didn’t click in the 1st place, but here we are 20 minutes later… on and ready to go!
These were an easy scrunch and roll up the legs. I set them above the knees and then rolled the rest up and set in place on the waist.

On The Legs: so I am down with how cute these look on the legs! I do like this type of style at it’s very versatile to wear throughout the year, and you could even experiment and layer with them too. Even though the velvet bow around the top was a little fiddly to begin with, it did come out looking super cute and really playful, especially paired with this outfit and heels.
The quality of this pair is really nice; these weren’t as easy to snag as I thought they would be which is a huge bonus, especially as most of my legs were out for the whole day.
The fit of these are perfect for my legs; they had plenty of stretch and elasticity to them to achieve even leg coverage. I had no gapping or wrinkling occur.
The feel of these are lovely and soft; they have a microfiber feel to them which is worth noting if you’re not a huge fan. They’re really soft and smooth, inside and out, and don’t irritate the skin in any way.
Now let me just mention something about the design here because I didn’t do that before; I like the whole mock ‘sock-over-the-knee effect’ and the addition of the wrap around bow just adds to the overall look. This type of style can sometimes make the legs look/feel shorter, so I do advise to wear this type of style with shorter clothing (unless you are super tall and can just pull it off anyways).

The Toes & Ankle: I had plenty of electricity and wiggle room for my toes to breathe, as you can see in the images below. I’m not too sure if these have reinforced toes to them, but as these are a thicker denier, you should be OK (keep those nails short and smooth!)
Around the feet and ankles, these have a lovely smooth, fitted, and wrinkle-free finish.

The Waistband & Gusset: I do you like this waistband, as I do for most of the Calzedonia brand. The band itself has plenty of stretch to them, hugging the waist well. I didn’t have any issues with it falling down on itself or shimmying down the waist either.
These also have the T-bar reinforcement to them, which helps if you are prone to grabbing your tights by your nails from time to time.
These also have a cotton gusset to them, which sits flush against the skin.

My Thoughts?
Such an awesome pair, and one I would happily recommend to you all. I love the look of these, and once I had it figured out, these were a dream!
