Calzedonia Bow Appliqué Tights

And in today’s blog we are going all cute! I haven’t done grey hosiery in a while, so I can’t wait to get my legs into this pair!

I got these off their website a few months ago when the sale first started – perfect time to grab yourself a bargain!

You can also get these in red and blue, but I thought let’s go grey instead!

My Outfit

So the girly vibe entails a grey marl tank top tucked into my super high waisted skirt and then adding suede court shoes into the mix.

You can always tone it down with a pair of converses or pumps instead of heels, but I love the whole look as it was.

I had my hair in a messy half pony, half mess at the back of my head.

I actually did a little set as well with it; both necklace and studs are from Pandora and gifted by a special someone!

The Review

From The Website: Women’s 50-denier tights with bow appliqué detail at the back of the ankle.

The Packaging: I got to say I was surprised how I got these through the post. They came with a punch in one parcel, however these were in a separate plastic wrapping. Normally they come open so you can get into them straight away (once you take the card off it).

Maybe they were trying to protect them – they should do it more often!

So the front is bare basic and so is the back. It states more about the care, size and the materials of the hosiery.

Getting Them On: once you gently tear away the cardboard, you’re pretty much good to go. You will know front from back with the bows.

So you will need to scrunch and roll these up with care due to the bow. It does seem securely fixed on as I did tug at it to begin with, nevertheless the last thing you want is it getting stuck and yanked off!

Let me mention here how damn soft these are! They’re unbelievably soft to the point it feels like a baby blanket on the legs!

On The Legs: okay so I had some trouble with the bow. I did my normal scrunch and roll, and I found that the bow sits right above the heel of the foot, so you will need to tug some material back to make it sit a little higher up. Doing this will cause pressure on the toes a little but once you’ve readjusted, they stay in place.

So on the legs itself, they are a goddamn dream. I love the way they feel on the legs, I love the way they look and I certainly love the way they hug.

There isn’t any pressure on the legs at all, yet they create this gorgeous slim look! I am in love with these! These are 50 denier, however you do get slight sheerness to them where they stretch. Mine would be around my thighs but even so, it’s nothing too revealing where you see a lot of skin showing through.

To touch, I can’t express how gorgeous these feel. They’re like SUPER SUPER soft, and so easy to scrunch and stretch without you having to worry about ripping or ruining them.

The Bow: I mean how adorable is this?! It’s the most cutest thing ever and it just adds that touch of girly chicness to the tights. It is securely put onto the tights and you won’t need to worry about them falling off or anything as long as you’re careful.

I did mention before that to begin with, these sit really low, so you will need to gently tug up material for them to sit ion top of where you ankles wrinkles at the back (it’s the best way I could describe it).

The Toes & Ankles: so to start with, there is plenty of wiggle room, but as you tug the material back for the bow to sit where it needs to, this adds pressure onto the toes. It kills me to say this, but you may need to move the toe seam further down the back of your toes so you can give yourself a little more room for your toes to wiggle and not feel so crowded.

Around the ankles, there is no sign of any crinkles or falling material as they hug the legs so well, so you don’t need to worry about granny ankles – that’s my new term for it now hehe!

The Waistband & Gusset: super comfortable due to the material. The band is quite a thick one, and even so, these don’t fall down or roll over itself at any stage either. One of the best bands I have come across to be honest. The gusset is a normal cotton one, so it’s all good for you commando-ers!

My Thoughts?

Whilst you can, get a hold of a pair because I absolutely love mine! I love the way they look and feel, and one of the comfiest pairs I know.

These can be rocked whatever the weather (maybe not mid summer though)!

I need to get back into these again once I’ve done the rest of my reviews so I can pair it with something casual!
