Calvin Klein Fishnet Ankle Socks (Black)

It’s been some time since socks have appeared on the blog, and as I had this pair sitting here patiently – I got them out to review for you all today.

Now socks are those that a lot of people are torn with – do they show them off with heels or keep them contained in closed footwear? I like to do a bit of both really, especially when they look this bold!

I had bought these from TKMaxx, and as these are no longer available online, I won’t be able to provide a link sadly.

The Review

The Packaging: as I got these from the store, they don’t have any plastic packaging around them. The front and back are pretty simple in terms of information given.

When you get in, you will find card inserted into one of the socks and the other is folded inside neatly.

Getting Them On: I have to say these are super easy to get on. Your nails don’t get caught inside the holes like they can with fishnet socks. I did my usual scrunch and roll from the toes to the ankles and set them a little higher so they are in line with my trouser hemline.

On The Feet: now these are some comfy socks. I didn’t think they would be as they are covered in holes from the toes to the ankle band, but they really are. I didn’t feel these digging into me whilst I was in them all day, but I did end up with prints all over my feet once I took them off!

Around the toes, it’s a pretty thick reinforcement with the design starting at the bottom of the toes. I had plenty of wiggle room in them so my toes weren’t squished together at any point. These also fit around the toes nicely, so you won’t have any extra material poking around the edges.

The fit of them are amazing for a one size pair – they were super comfortable and had a lovely amount of stretch to them as well. I do feel if you have wider feet, these will sit below your ankle rather than around it.

The feel of them are so soft and doesn’t irritate the skin at all either. They are a lovely knit and you can really tell when you feel them. Heck you can see how thick they look yet they’re thin on the feet – that just means these will last a long time as long as they are looked after properly.

I know you may see the CK name will be a little off – I didn’t line up my socks when I first put them on to be symmetrical either side, so I do apologise for that. I would have liked it if the branding was all the way around the trim rather than 1 section with a double band design.

I do have to say it looks amazing with heels. I didn’t want to cover them up purely for that reason as it really does stand out. And from a distance, it looks like they are one piece rather than heels and socks separate.

My Thoughts?

I think these are a great pair, and one that I will continue to wear for sure. I love how bold they look, and these can be dressed up or down. They were comfortable to wear for the whole day, and I did not have any issues in them. I would certainly recommend.
