My Outfit

I was pondering for a while how to style this pair, and I decided to play with some colours. I went with my bottle green sleeveless shirt paired with my multi-coloured skirt and I added simple heels to finish the look. If I had some dark green heels, I would have worn those instead, but I don’t – so these will do.

The Review

From The Website: Ballerina worship sexiness above everything else and these new hold ups from their latest collection are fine examples of what they can do with their ambition and love of feminine design. These new hold ups take the backseam, a timeless design, and maximise their sexiness. The chevrons at the top of the leg make the leg lengthening qualities of these hold ups so much more striking and powerful. And with a splash of pomegranate pink on the lace, these hold ups are so much more feminine and rich than plain black would be.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: as we have a backseam to work with today, I took my time to roll these up the legs today. I got them over my anklets to make sure they don’t catch, and then I worked it up slowly to try and get a straight backseam. Once I was done, I tugged them u pa bit so they sat mid-thigh before setting them in place.

On The Legs: now these aren’t as high as I would normally sit them, as I have a longer skirt to pair them with. But I will say I did struggle to tug these up a bit. I was really working against the material to get them to stay a little higher. This is worth noting if you place them as high as I do. I would maybe need to go one size up to make sure that I don’t need to tug too hard next time and I have enough material so it doesn’t distort the design in any way.

The quality of these were really great where the design was placed, however I did feel the let me down a little on this occasion. I found that on the legs I had weird markings at the front, which could no get rid of. I thought it was because I did a little tug to them, but it wasn’t that (I did a larger tug after I took them off and it didn’t affect it). It may not show up when you look from afar, but I noticed it and couldn’t keep my eyes off it all day. I wasn’t too pleased, but never mind.

Apart from that, I lasted all day without any other issues, until a lovey large snag decided to appear at the top of the holdups! I must have caught them at some point when I lifted my skirt during the day, but I was super disappointed!

The feel of them are lovely. They are smooth and lovely to glide on the legs. I didn’t have any issues wearing them, and there was no irritation either. I thought they were great to be in all day long.

The design is a favourite! I ADORE that colour against a black backseam. The colour contrast really works, and sets it off beautifully. I also love how they have wrapped that design around to the front rather than keeping it as a single back piece.

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, these come with slightly darker reinforced toes to them. I had plenty of wiggle room around the toes, and there was no pressure that was added around this area either.

From the reinforced toe, comes the backseam that works upto the design at the bands.

Around the feet and ankles, I had a lovely fitted finish with no wrinkling.

The Bands: I am still in awe of how gorgeous these are, and how vibrant they look. I wanted to help it pop by adding a coloured skirt rather than a bloc dark colour – and I am glad I did.

The bands come wit h2 silicone bands that are located at the top where the lace scallops. They have a great amount of tackiness to them, so they hug the legs well without pulling away.

I also wanted to show you after your wear, you may see markings like so. These do disappear after some time, but a lot of people think this ‘isn’t normal’ when it actually is.

The bands also have a great amount of stretch to them, and they hugged my thighs nicely during the day without squishing them.

My Thoughts?

Apart from the weird markings at the front of the legs, I really like this pair. I love the design, and that is something I can wear all year round. I liked the fit and how well they held up all day without any issues of it falling down. I would recommend this pair for sure!
