Ballerina Black Secret Crotchless Baroque Tights

For those who have been with me since the beginning of this hosiery journey of mine, you’ll know that I love a good BAROQUE pair of tights. These used to be my favourites back in the day, as they are making a comeback.

The Review

From The Website: Black Secret is among the most stunning and feminine of all the Ballerina collections. This new range features feminine and timeless designs that are fantastic for adding a timeless appeal to your legs. This is their crotchless tights design, and it is among the sexiest of the Black Secret range. The crotchless attribute adds a devilish and enticing element to these tights, and the rich decoration inspired by the Baroque period. It is one of the most gorgeous and ornate pairs of fashion tights around, and we absolutely adore them.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: as these have an open crotch to them, it can get a little confusing. Once I found out where the open crotch part will sit comfortably on me, I did my scrunch and roll and slowly rolled these up my legs. I wanted to keep the baroque as symmetrical as possible on each leg so I don’t have to mess with them after.

These were fine going over my anklets, and an easy roll up the legs before setting them in place.

On The Legs: let me start with the design on this one, because they are absolutely stunning! I love this type of print on tights, and honestly they have become my favourite pair this year! It gives off this regal, luxury vibe and having a heavy, intricate pattern will make people stare for sure.

The quality of this pair is incredible; I have found sometimes Ballerina can be hit and miss with their quality, but these are ace! These don’t snag as easily, which is always a positive!

The fit are true to size, and was perfect for my legs. I felt I had enough stretch to achieve even leg coverage, and there was no gapping to be found. I would advise going up a size if you are in-between just so you get a comfortable fit.

The feel of them are lovely; they are soft, they are smooth and they don’t irritate the skin either.

The Toes & Ankle: so these have been interesting today. Let me start off with the good stuff; these come with reinforced toes which cover the toes well. I had plenty of wiggle room, and no pressure was added during my toes either.

Around the feet and ankles, it’s a smooth finish with no wrinkling. I also like how the design starts right under the reinforcement too.

Now the only bad part is that on one foot the seam kept turning on itself, so it didn’t sit flush just under the toenails how I like.

The Waistband & Gusset: now these come with an open crotch part, which is pretty comfortable to begin with. I did find it started to dig into me a little during the day, so I had to keep readjusting from time to time. To be honest I don’t wear open crotch enough, so it’s something I still find slightly uncomfortable at times and still need to get used to.

I do like the waistband on these; they have a lovely slim band which stays put all day and a big reinforcement underneath them before the design starts. They have been great and such an easy wear!

My Thoughts?

100% recommend.
