ASOS DESIGN Monogram Printed Tights

Okay so what has inspired this pair, and today’s outfit? My mind. I wanted to try something new, so I channelled my inner ‘if I was a rich woman’ and came up with this. This is an outfit similar to what wealthier fashionistas would wear, and I decided to do my own version with my faux Gucci looking tights!

I am still hoping to add the real deal (meaning real Gucci tights) to my collection one day, but for now let’s have some fun with knock-offs!

This is another pair that I bought in the sale, and I am hoping they still will be for you all!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I have to say I was intrigued with this pair. I won’t say too much here, but I really was.

These were easy to slip into. I did my scrunch and roll, and slowly glided up the legs tugging a little to make sure I have even coverage. I also wanted to make sure that I get the inner lines as straight as possible so they won’t show as much – this is where the pattern starts and ends.

On The Legs: so from afar, these look very similar to Gucci tights. But I mean from afar afar – I know there are some people out there who swear by their brands and I know they would be like ‘but no’ when they see this pair. I didn’t think I would like the colouring, however I really do with this pairing. I can see these work really well in Autumn/Winter. It’s pretty bold, but with the creamy base, the brown stands out really well and smooths the legs out really well.

The quality of these are not bad for what you pay for. Obviously these aren’t the real deal, but you know what? They are a great alternative for sure. These don’t snag or rip easily as these are heavily elasticated and quite thick too. They are a semi-opaque pair which you will be able to see in the packaging video and and some images below. It reminds of some pairs I bought from China where they have that faux look to them inside to give an illusion.

But yes, these don’t damage easily which is great, especially if you are prone to ruining your hosiery easily.

The fit of these are perfect for me, and I had so much stretch to them as well. They hugged the legs very well, and I did not have any issues with the fit either. They stayed put all day, without it falling down or feeling tight across certain areas. I would recommend checking the sizing guide before you purchase to make sure you get the right size for you.

The feel of them are really smooth and soft on the legs, both inside and out. They have a lovely touch to them, and they certainly don’t irritate the legs in any way. I really like how they are thick enough but don’t actually look it when they’re on. They’re a great pair!

The Toes & Ankle: unfortunately these do not have reinforced toes to them. This is a shame as I would have liked them to be there, even if they were invisible or not.

I did have plenty of wiggle room in them for my toes to breather, and no pressure was added either. I found them a little slippy in my sandals to begin with as I have 2 sets of smoothness on the tights and heels, so I had to use grips in the end to stop y feet from gliding around.

Around the feet and ankles, it’s a lovely smooth finish.

The Waistband & Gusset: so I don’t feel there is a need for these tights to be high rise in any way, but they are for some reason. And when you are working with high rise, expect them to fall or crease down like they did on me. I would have liked them to sit normally on the waist, as there is no way I would be showing the tops of the waistband off like I would do with fishnets.

The band itself is decent; I had a nice amount of stretch in them so they sat comfortably on me all day. They also didn’t lose elasticity either.

These also sit flush against the skin and intimate areas too.

My Thoughts?

I think this pair is brilliant if you want to create a fashionable look on a budget. I love the design, and this print can work all year round too. I liked the quality and how they look quite thin but are actually a little thick. I am impressed for sure!
