Aristoc Glitter BackSeamed Tights

Yep I am pulling out another pair of backseam tights, seeing as I forgot I has this pair to review. Now these I should have done around New Year’s; perfect denier with the perfect statement backseam. But seeing as my silly self didn’t come across the pair in the pile, I am not doing them for work instead!

This is a pair you can wear formally, or if you’re not the formal type, then wear casually with a mini skirt or a pair of shorts with a t-shirt.

Now I will apologise in advance; my camera fell in between my shoot and well… Only  a week or two later, when I downloaded the images, that most of them came out blurry and out of focus! I am so miffed off it’s unreal as I have sold these tights as well so couldn’t even redo the whole shoot!

My Outfit

I really do need to update my wardrobe you know; I always run out of things to wear! I opted for my black bodysuit with puffy sleeves with my bodycon knitted skirt and finished off with my boots. You can always wear court shoes or slingbacks; I just find it’s nice to switch it up from time to time.

I left my hair down and just added studs; I didn’t fancy going too OTT for work today!

The Review

From The Website: We’ve seen a lot of ways that designers have reinvented the backseam. And yet we stay impressed with the ways that they keep on doing it each season. Here is one of the more creative and eye catching ones of the season, glitter backseams from Aristoc. They do the same job, namely lengthening the leg and catching the eye. But with the added sheen, the latter of the two is the most powerful we have ever seen it.

* 60 denier
* Black opaque tights
* Gold back seam

The Packaging: now I do like how funky this packaging is. The front shows the model wearing the hosiery and the back goes into a little more details about them:

The perfect accessory to complete your outfit.

Knitted using high quality yarns.”

Now when you pull out the hosiery from the packaging, there is a front card which slips out too! So technically it’s a damn large window at the front but it’s covered by the inner card with the model wearing the hosiery. I suppose it’s a clever way to get the packaging done and insert the card as and when you need to.

“Established in 1924, Aristoc is a great British heritage brand with its roots firmly set in the Midlands. We offer a beautiful range of hosiery with a reputation for outstanding quality. These high standards, combined with our consistent innovation allow us to create classic British designs with the highest levels of comfort, fit and performance.

The Aristoc collection includes bodytoners, premium opaques, and high quality beautiful ultimate sheers that you can wear with confidence.”

HOW TO WEAR

Gather the tights with your thumbs in the toes and pull over each foot, leaving plenty of toe room.

With both feet comfortably fitted, stand with heels flat on the floor and carefully pull up over each leg.

Make sure tights are stretched over the whole leg.

Hold firmly and carefully roll up over hips until comfortably in position.

Getting Them On: so out the packaging they are flat folded with the seams sitting bang on in the center of the hosiery. The first thing you wanna say is how soft these are to touch; they just feel so soft and so elastic-y!

I did the scrunch and roll on the legs, which worked out well to keep my seams straight to begin with, but near the top you might want to pinch and pull them into place.

These were around 2/4 of my leg length; not too small and not too long so enough to give that decent opaque coverage with a slight hint of leg peering through.  20180123_190206.jpg

On The Legs: they are so nice! They feel so great and so smooth to touch but not enough that your legs fall off each other with ease.

They hug the legs really well and stay put throughout the day, unless you shuffle about then expect the seam to move out of place slightly.

The denier is fab; still got real good coverage over the legs, and where it stretches it’s still not exposing too much skin, so for those of you with stubbly or hairy legs, I would recommend these! It works so well with the faded glitter backseam.

Now the only downside thing here is that they catch easily; I managed to get a few snaggy marks on them on the thighs which I was not pleased about. I think my bag must have grazed against and caught it! Luckily it’s not too visible when I was in normal daylight, but with flash… Yep expect the world to see it!

The Backseam: I am in love with it. I have never see anything so stunning like this before; the sparkly gold which then fades out giving it that splatter seam effect. Now I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing, but this does leave glitter everywhere. I didn’t find that to begin with getting them on as I kept rubbing it to see if anything does come off, but sitting down all day I saw glitter all over my chair!

The seam works right from the toe seam all the way to under the tushy; which means you get a decent length so you can opt for something short to wear with it.

The only downside is that you can actually feel the glitter seam through the tights on the feet, which can make it slightly uncomfortable to walk, but nothing that would kill your feet by the end of the day / night!

The Toe & Ankle Area: enough wiggle room and dark enough to wear peep toes and open sandals with. If you have popping colour nail varnish (like I do) then you will be able to see it peer through but nothing too visible.

These aren’t reinforced unfortunately, but they’re still pretty decent with long nails.

The ankle area doesn’t have any extra material which is great so it’s not crinkling away!

The Waistband & Gusset: so so good – like I have no complaints. I’ve been drinking a lot of water lately which means you need to go quite a bit, and well I have put these to the test and they have passed with flying colours! They band is super soft, super stretchy and doesn’t lose elasticity at all throughout the day! They hold up really well, they’re so comfortable to the point you can’t even feel them on!

The gusset is a small cotton on; nothing much more to say there as I’m wearing underwear!

My Thoughts?

I love these; the way they look, the way they feel and the way they just make my legs look so damn good! I’m not too keen on how quickly these can catch and snag, but I suppose I will let it go this one time as it’s not something that it fully visible unless stretched out (mainly when I’m sitting down).

I love that backseam and how it’s a a subtle statement to the outfit – totally recommend these!

    Great looking tights another great review love these. They have that classy look yet very fashionable. It’s always better to actually see someone wearing in hosiery reviews rather than just a picture of a package. There are another pair of Aristoc tights that am going to buy they are the Aristoc Metallic Effect Tights and they come in black and nightshade just to mention another style.
