Ariestre Lauren Pantyhose

NEW BRAND ALERT! I am testing out the Ariestre brand, and I am pretty excited. I can’t say I have seen her brand before, until recently. I got this pair gifted and I am ready to get this blog rolling!

A lot of the information below is taken off her website, including the description off the website. I do know it states nude hosiery – not my error there.

The Review

From The Website: Classic, smooth, sheer nude pantyhose that are almost invisible. They are so soft and velvety to the touch, like silk. You will love how they feel against your skin! They hug your legs perfectly and are so comfortable to wear. These are some of my favourite tights, especially during the warmer spring and summer months, and they are the perfect complement to light and airy dresses and sandals – just right for those long, romantic walks or those dreamy dates with your loved one.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: at first I had to question with my friend who bought these if they were the right size as they looked huge. They did not look like a size small, but more like large. Once I did my scrunch and roll on the legs, I found that they fit well and rolled the up carefully to set in place.

I did take care going over my anklets.

On The Legs: so I have a fair bit to say about this pair.
Firstly, I feel the denier is higher than 20. These feel more like 30 denier due to experience; I have worn a lot of 20 deniers and these feel too thick to be those in my eyes. As advertised on the website, that is more true to a 20 denier pair compared to what I have received.
Secondly, I found a lot of markings around the thighs and around the legs. I did see a glimpse of it when I was doing my scrunch before I got them on the legs, but I got to see it clearly when I got them on. When it comes to sheer hosiery, I prefer it to be a complete smooth finish; this pair I found there to be horizontal rings around the legs.

The quality of this pair is alright; I like the fact that they felt quite thick and had a semi-opaque look to them, but only when I want to be in a semi-opaque pair and not a pair stated as 20 denier. I did find they snag easily; I managed to get one during my shoot and then I ended up getting another after when taking them off.

The fit of these are great for me; there was enough stretch for decent leg coverage. I did have enough stretch in these so there was no gapping to be found behind the knee or around the ankles. Plus if I went a size up, I feel these would be darker on the legs due to the extra material I would have.

The feel of these are smooth on the legs, and do not irritate the skin. I do like how soft they are and that it doesn’t rub against my clothing. These were a lovely pair to wear for sure!

The Toes & Ankle: so the good news is that you get reinforced toes on these. However, the reinforcement is not equal; I found the right foot to have more of a reinforced toe coverage than the left, which just about covered my toenails. I have only experienced something similar on cheaper hosiery brands.

Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish with no wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: I will say I do like the waistband on these. They have a lovely smooth, silky finish to them which hugs the waist well. At first it did look like it was going to be too big, but it fit quite well. It does lose elasticity a little but not much that it feels baggy.

These did not roll or shimmy down the waist at any point, which is a bonus. I also like that these have flat seams, which stay flat under clothing too.

My Thoughts?

So not a bad pair at all, however I did find there are a few bits I wasn’t too fond of. Maybe it’s just a pair that missed quality control that I received. Apart from that, they are not a bad pair if you’re after a semi-opaque finish. I would happily recommend!
