Back into another lurex pair, which I wanted to dress for work. I wanted to dress it casually again, but this time I felt like doing a simple black outfit and adding this pair as my statement piece.

The Review

From The Website: Transparent, patterned tights with a comfortable puller and a flat seam. A cotton gusset in Sizes M and L and a double cotton gusset in size XL.
The t-band panty section makes that the pantyhose can be worn even for very short skirts or shorts.
With an invisibly reinforced toe seam, the tights can also be worn with peep toe shoes. Delicate, exceptionally feminine design, located above the ankle.

Colours displayed may vary slightly from depictions on the monitor due to screen differences.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: well… once they came out the packaging I just had to hold them up against me to see the actual length. These go way past my waist and basically hitting the top part of me – how on earth are these so long for a medium?!

Anyways, I did my scrunch and roll, and shimmied them up the legs.

On The Legs: as I love doing these before and after sliders, I wanted to do it for this blog to show you natural light against flash so you can see the difference. There actually isn’t much as these shine quite well during the day, but I can imagine these really can blind someone in the night.

The quality of this pair is not bad. I did manage to snag these pretty easily, which is a shame to be honest. Their durability isn’t that great I would assume, so I can imagine these only lasting a few wears before you would need to purchase another pair. Another thing I want to point out is I found a weird line on the inner part of the tights, which does not budge even if you try to smooth it over or rub to get rid of it.

The fit was actually pretty great. Once I got them on, I realised they don’t have much stretch to them, so they needed to be longer in size. They didn’t end up sitting right to the top of me, but more around the waistline. They still fit great around the knees and ankles, so there is no gapping.

The feel was soft, and it had a smooth finish to them. This means that the lurex doesn’t catch onto your clothing, and it doesn’t irritate your skin either. I wasn’t too sure what to expect, but I was nicely surprised by how smooth they were.

Now, the design is pretty unique. I haven’t come across a lurex pair with white/grey polka dots before. I quite like it to be honest, and I know these would look great with white or grey shoes to really make the polka dots stand out. I wanted to keep it simple, so I didn’t opt for those colours with my outfit today.

The Toes & Ankle: so I did the same slider with the toes, just so you can see the difference too.

These comes with reinforced toes, which are still lurex stitched so you’re not missing out. Plus it would look super weird if the toes were just a sheer black material.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added during the day either.

Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth fit, with no wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: as you can see below, the waistband is pretty decent. I have a good sized band, with reinforcement underneath. The band has plenty of stretch to it, and it sits on the waist without moving.

I also wanted to show the top thigh, where the polka dot design ends but you still get the lurex part working its way to the top.

My Thoughts?

Not a bad pair, but to be honest I have tried other lurex tights before and they have been so much better than this pair. I do like the design, as it isn’t something I have come across before but it let me down in other areas. Unfortunately it’s not one I would really recommend.
