Oroblu Riga 20 Backseam Tights

Oh Oroblu – another favourite of mine! I adore the quality of Oroblu; they have always been so good to me and they feel incredible on the legs. It’s a shame that I don’t get to review these enough!

I bought this pair from TKMaxx for a discounted price, however I have shared a link below where you can purchase them directly from UKTights.

My Outfit

I went for a date night / party look with this pair as opposed to an office look, purely because they are too good to hide behind skirts and dresses. I wore my mini wrap dress and barely there heels so I could show off the backseam and heel detail.

The Review

From The Website: We have quite a selection of seamed tights but these are just that little bit special. Given the fact that they are Oroblu which in simple terms means that they are excellent quality, suggests that the product is going to be superior to other seamed tights available. Knowing Oroblu as we do, we feel these are going to be for the woman who demands quality and settles for nothing less. Both sexy and sassy these tights are a joy to wear. RHT with a beautiful, precise seam that stays put. If it’s excellence your looking for in your hosiery, then look no further. N.B. Please note that the nude has a nude seam.

The Packaging: I do like their packaging, especially as it’s simple but shows enough on the front. You get the model wearing the pair along with the brad name, model name, size and colour. On the back, it goes into more detail about the pair along with the sizing guide and hosiery care.

When you get in, you will find them flat folded and wrapped around card. These come with leg and foot shaping to them, so it’ll help when getting the backseam straight.

Getting Them On: as these have a panel on the soles, I made sure these were straight before I started rolling up the backseam. With a little pinch and pull in some places, these sat perfectly on the legs.

They were fine going over ankles a long as you take care.

On The Legs: my oh myyyyyy… these are simple but so damn classy! Never underestimate the power of a sheer backseam pair. These look incredible on the legs, and the seams are gorgeous on them. They are sewn in so you don’t get that bumpy feeling when you run your hands over them – this also means that the seam blends in rather than stands out on the legs which I really like.

The quality is spot on with this pair; they haven’t snagged whilst I’ve been in them and they just feel amazing on. There is a nice amount of stretch in them as well give good leg coverage without it fading from dark to light.

The fit of these are true to size and it as perfect for my leg length. I would recommend checking the sizing guide before purchasing so you get the right size as there isn’t tons of stretch in these if you are an in-between size.

The feel of them are super smooth on the legs, with a lovely soft touch. They slip and glide off the legs and give you that luxe feel. I really do like Oroblu for this reason (amongst may others)

The Toes & Ankle: now here is where all the magic is…

The toes aren’t reinforced which is a shame but no biggie. I have plenty of wiggle room for them and no pressure is added. Around the feet and ankles, it’s a smooth fitted finish.

We now are working a rectangle sole panel which leads into a pyramid heel. I gotta say I love it when it does that. It just adds that little bit extra and it makes it all the more special. This is why I wore these sandals so the back of the ankle is exposed as much as possible. Another alternative would be wearing mules.

The Waistband & Gusset: now I normally love the Oroblu waistband as they hug and sit on the waist so well, you don’t need to worry about them. However, I find find my pair this time started to overlap on the side a little. I was a little annoyed as I was wearing a bodycon dress and I didn’t need that peeking through. Luckily it is only small but  had to adjust a few times to make sure that it doesn’t keep doing it throughout the day.

So the band itself is pretty wide and has plenty of stretch in it so it hugs the waist. These do stay up all day, which I do like. They also have reinforcement under it, including down the middle.

The gusset is also there, sitting flush against the skin too 🙂

My Thoughts?

Such a beautiful pair I have to say and I love the way they look on the legs. It’s a shame about the band, but to be honest it won’t stop me recommending them to you. If you’re after a sensual classy pair – this is the one!
