Silca Mambo Tights

I was intrigued by this pair, purely because of the colour ‘Moka’. I haven’t done a lot of brown tights (or pantyhose) before – yet done plenty of stockings – so I wasn’t too sure how these would look on the legs.

I was going to pair up with an outfit, but then decided to do this review so the focus is on the tights only. I did end up wearing a brown dress and tan heels with it for those who will be intrigued to know how I dressed them.

The Review

From The Website: Smooth veiled top with bodice

The Packaging: is the same as the rest of the reviews I have done on this brand. It shows the model wearing the tights on the front along with the brand and model name. When you flip over, you will find little information about the pair along with the sizing guide and hosiery care.

When you get in, you will see these are wrapped around plain card and flat folded so you don’t get any leg or foot shaping to it.

Getting Them On: I did my usual scrunch and roll up the legs and took my time going over my anklets here. They glided right on…

On The Legs: I am loving this colour! It isn’t as brown as I thought it would be, but looks like a barely there black/brown finish to them. It’s a very unusual colour to look at, but on the legs I have to admit they are my favourite. They are super subtle and they look amazing, and the low denier really helps with that too!

I expected something a little weird looking, but I was totally wrong!

The quality of these are gorgeous once again; they have not snagged or ripped once and they have been looking pristine all day. They have a lovely amount of stretch in them for my size to make sure they hug the legs well, and I see these lasting as long as I take care of them 🙂

The fit is true to size for me, but if you are unsure then make sure you check the sizing guide before buying. You don’t want to end up with wrinkles around your ankles!

The feel of them are so soft and smooth, both inside and outside hence why they glide on and off with ease. They are a pair which you will need to take care of when they’re on (and also when they’re off) as they can ruin easily, but these fit and feel so well against the legs.

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see, these come with a reinforced toe strip going across the top and bottom that is a darker denier and denser in colour. You can still wear open toe sandals or heels with these if you don’t mind that contrast. But if you do mind, then yeah closed toe always works or even boots if you prefer.

I had plenty of wiggle room in these for my toes to move freely and breathe without feeling squished during the day. Around the feet and ankles, I had a lovely fitted finish with no wrinkles, giving it that barely there finish.

The Waistband: is soft and sits nicely on the waist. This sits around the belly button on me, and stays put all day long until I take it off. It doesn’t roll over itself at any point during the day, or slide down either.

Another thing I will mention is that these have a reinforced boxer brief to them, so you will find from top thigh to the band it’s a denser darker denier to give you support.

The gusset on these are a palm-sized piece in the middle of the tights with a cotton finish to them.

My Thoughts?

The colour really got me here, and I am in love with them. They are a pair you can dress for work without any issues, as well as wearing casually. I love the quality as per usual, and the fit is always spot on. I really do like these, and if you like subtle coloured tights, then this is certainly a pair to invest in.
