Silca Les Bas Holdups

Back into Silca we go, and this time we are trying out their holdups. So far I have been enjoying their hosiery, and I am hoping these will carry on the positive reviews I have been giving!

The Review

From The Website: In veiled lycra with silicon lace top

The Packaging: is pretty simple. The front shows the model wearing the holdups, the brand name and model name too. Flip over to the back, and you will find a little information about the pair inside.

When you get in, you will find these flat folded around plain card. These also have foot and leg shaping to them, so they’ll be super easy to scrunch and roll on.

Getting Them On: I took my time going over the toes and anklets, before I started to pull them up the legs. If it helps, face the silicone bands outside so you get a smooth glide up and flip back over to set in place. Otherwise just shimmy/roll them up and set in place when you’re done.

I always sit mine quite high up the legs as I don’t like exposing the bands on them, especially when I’m wearing them to work.

On The Legs: so the thing that stands out for me the most here is how SOFT AND SMOOTH these are on the legs! I cannot tell you how gorgeous they are and have this luxury feel without the price tag attached. Both inside and out, they are smooth against the legs and a pleasure to be in for the whole day.

The quality of these are amazing; they have not snagged at all and have been so good to me. They have plenty of stretch for my size, and I can see these lasting well if you take care of them properly.

The fit is great; they are true to size and I can sit them high or low on the thighs depending on my mood. You have the option to do so rather than being forced to sit them where you can’t tug them anymore.

The Toes & Ankle: as far as I am aware, these don’t have reinforced toes to them, which means you can wear them with pee toe and open toe shoes and sandals. The downside is that you will need to watch your nails to make sure they won’t be making any horrible holes when you’re not paying attention!

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move about, and it was a comfort fit around the whole of the foot. Around the ankles, I had a lovely smooth fitted finish.

The Bands: my favourite part! Look how pretty these bands are, and that darker lace in contrast with the sheerer leg is just gorgeous! These have a double silicone band inside, which I’m sure you’ll be able to see in the close up images below.

These hold up really well on the thighs, and did not once lose tack during the day. I did test them out by prising them away from the legs a few times and sticking them back, and they remained the same – still got the holding power to them.

I can say that these don’t dig into you either; sometimes you can get bands that can be quite tight around the thighs so you end up with a muffin top, but not with these. These sit flush against the skin and hug so you don’t actually feel them.

My Thoughts?

Another great pair I got to try out today, and I loved them. A great everyday pair, whether you decide to dress them up or down. I loved the fit, they looked amazing and the lace detail on the bands are stunning. I would recommend for sure!
