Ah Wolford I have missed you dearly! I realised it has been some time since I have been in a pair, and I needed to get into one ASAP!
I had bought these from TKMaxx in the sale, however as they are no longer available, I will add a link where you can still purchase a pair below.
Colour: Black / Matrix
Denier: Around 20-30
Materials: 58% nylon, 35% polyester, 7% elastane
Price: £35.00 / Sale 7.99
Website: Wolford – Matrix Tights
Now I feel like I’m actually in the Matrix with the way I have dressed this up. I paired a faux leather dress with my suede court shoes and went to work!
Dress: New Look
From The Website: Graphic design: These matt tights play with an irregular, multicolored design from the waistband, right down to the toes. The pleasantly soft knitted waistband ensures a comfortable fit.
Opaque/ sheer look
Creates trendy outfits
The Packaging: well Wolford is just Wolford really… I mean you can spot it a mile off because of simple and eye-catching their packaging is. The front shows the model wearing the pair and the back goes into a little more detail.
When you get in, always make sure that you check it has the COQ number otherwise they aren’t authentic. These will also be folded so you get the foot and leg shaping to them 🙂
Getting Them On: well I gotta say these look so amazing already. I took my time going over anklets without the help of hosiery gloves and rolled them right up. These have a nice bit of stretch in them so you can pull up without having to worry 🙂
On The Legs: I am loving the design of these. At first I didn’t know what to expect, but I love the whole knitted effect it has going on. It’s a simple statement piece which can work with so many outfits; knitwear, leather etc. Against the skin colour as well, it really does look amazing.
The quality of them are just stunning; not one single issue with these and I was in them all day long as well. I felt these could certainly last as long as you take care of them.
I am really crushing over these!
The fit was true to size and I felt this was perfect; if I went a size bigger, I wouldn’t have had the pattern spaced out as much as I did and it wouldn’t be as sheer as shown below. These do have a bit of stretch to them which is great for hugging the legs, but I would always say check the sizing guide before buying.
The feel of them are so soft and really smooth against the legs; this is the base of the tights by the way. The knitted parts are raised and still super soft to touch, so you shouldn’t feel any roughness to these whatsoever.
The Toes & Ankle: now there isn’t any mention of reinforced toes, which is a shame as I felt these could have done with an invisible one. Anyways, these have plenty of wiggle room for the toes to move around and there is no pressure added around the toes, feet or ankles either.
A good thing here is that you can wear these with open toes shoes or sandals as the design works from the toe seam right to the band.
Around the ankles is a lovely fitted finish as you can see 🙂
The Waistband & Gusset: well we have sheer pleasure all the way to the band here. And I will say I was so surprised not to see the Wolford logo. Normally it’s placed around the band, but there is not one sign of them this time – which I thought was super strange.
The band itself sits around the belly button on me and holds up so well. It doesn’t dig in, doesn’t roll down and certainly doesn’t give you any problems. These hold up the tights really well too 🙂
The gusset is a small palm sized piece in the middle, so you’re good if you wish to go commando 🙂
I gotta say I think the design is super cool and totally works for Autumn/Winter weather if you want to wear sheers but still have something that works. The quality is always great, the fit is just perfect and overall – I would recommend these!
