Pretty Polly Snowflake Tights

I decided to wear something that can work from office to party in a matter of minutes. I do love winter tights like these as they work so well instead of a plain pair for parties and events. Saying that, this time last year I did do a snowflake pair which I dressed up/ If you missed that review, hit the link below (opens in a new tab):

My Outfit

I went for my crushed velvet t-shirt dress paired with some peep toe sandals to glam it up a little. I was opting for something a little more low key at first, but ended up changing into this as it worked for me.

The Packaging: is a small thin box where the model wears them on the front and the back goes into a little more detail about them.

When you get in, you will find them in plastic packaging, wrapped around card. These are quite thick when you first see and hold them, however that will soon change.

Getting Them On: these are so stretchy as they are a one sized pair, so you will have enough stretch to get these on with ease. I got them over my anklets and rolled them right up (not having to tug too much) and set them in place ready for my day.

On The Legs: well as you can see those little snowflakes are looking super cute just dotted around the legs… and they look even better against the matte finish. As soon as I saw these, I fell in love with how cute they look!

The quality of these are pretty decent, and there is a good amount of stretch in them too to hug the legs really well. I also found that when stretched out in parts, it becomes sheerer than the rest of the legs so that is something to look out for. And also depending on the lighting, these can shade either quite dark or quite sheer (well semi-opaque I will say). I didn’t get any rips or snags in these throughout the day which I am super pleased about. I feel it would be quite hard to with how elasticated they are.

The fit of these are great and I had no issues with that. I feel the more you stretch them out, the sheerer they become so you may want to get a bigger size if you want them to be as opaque as possible.

The feel of them are soft but not all that smooth. It can be in some parts, over the snowflakes it is slightly grainy. I will also mention that these pick up dust and other particles really easily, so you may need to dust yourself off from time to time to keep them looking fresh.

The Toes & Ankle: are not reinforced sadly, but as it is a slightly thicker denier it should be ok as long as you take care of your nails before slipping into them. I had plenty of wiggle room in these, and there was no pressure put on the toes or anywhere else during the day.

Around the feet and ankles, these were a lovely fitted finish.

The Waistband & Gusset: well the band wasn’t to my liking today as it kept creasing in and rolling over itself from time to time. These sit around the belly button on me, but it was a pain to keep seeing this!!

Apart from that, the band wasn’t too bad. It held up my tights well which was the main thing, and the gusset was flush against me too. These are also a boxer brief which means it’s full reinforced from  the band to the top of the thighs. And something else to note: it may be hard to wear anything really short with these unless you don’t mind exposing the boxer brief part.

My Thoughts?

Overall I think these are such a good pair to have for Christmas and I feel if you look after them, they will serve you for a good while. I do love the design of them and the matte finish is lovely too! I would certainly recommend them 🙂
