Now I need to learn how to pair reds with other colours than black. I seem to do that combination a lot, and I said to myself I need to think what can work with red that will look just as good. I wanted to colour block, and experiment but I knew it wouldn’t work as well as it did in my head, so I played it safe and went with white and creams this time round!
I have done a review on a cerise pair before, and thought they were great. If you missed that review, then click on the link below (opens in a new tab):

Now I always seem to pair red with black, and frankly I need to change that. So this time, I wanted to go with whites and creams instead. I don’t know why but I thought let’s try it out and see how we get on really. I paired my long chiffon dress with my red pair of tights, and added a belt at the waist to give me a little shape. I added my cute jelly shoes to finish off the look.
Dress: Miss Selfridge

From The Website: Our amazing range of Pamela Mann 50 denier colours. Our opaque tights are a high quality due to the use of 3D yarn, knitted together to add extra endurance and elasticity of the tight. This maroon red shade adds some depth to your standard red!

The Packaging: as these came with others identical pairs in plastic packaging, I wasn’t worrying too much about them not being in their own packaging.
The packaging is pretty basic as you can see below, so all you do in unravel it out the packaging and get them right on!
Oh wait… Make sure you remove that piece of card inserted inside before you do so!
Getting Them On: like my last pair, these are so stretchy and really easy to get on the legs. They were such an easy glide up and I didn’t have to worry about the anklets either!
On The Legs: I am absolutely loving this red. I didn’t think it would look so good on the legs when I first saw it in the cardboard packaging. Not only does it pop and look so vivid, I love how it’s not so bright red and more of a shade that suits Autumn/Winter perfectly.
The fit of these are amazing; they really do hug the legs well and there is not one sign of them feeling baggy on the legs. As these are very well elasticated, you will find they hug the legs so well and you shouldn’t see any gapping around the ankles or knees. With larger legged individuals, you may find it won’t be as opaque as they are on me once you stretch them out fully.
The quality of them are amazeballs; I loved being in them and I didn’t encounter any issues at all. I had no snags or rips, and to be fair it would have been hard to do so as these are super smooth and pretty hard to catch on to.
Now that I have experienced 50 deniers with Pamela Mann, I know that you will get a good solid-like colour on the legs. It gives the legs good coverage with hardly any skin showing through unless stretched out. Perfect for those who want to keep their legs covered as much as possible.
The Toes & Ankle: the toes aren’t reinforced, but with these being a thicker denier it should be ok (just make sure those nails are kept short and smooth). I had no issues with pressure being added onto the toes whilst I was on the move, and there was plenty of wiggle room in these for your toes to move about freely.
Around the feet, this was a lovely fit and really hugged them well. The same goes for the ankles as I had not one wrinkle in sight wearing these.
The Waistband: I missed the waistband pictures last time, so I made sure I added them in so you can see what they are like on the waist. These are a super comfortable fit around the waist and hips, and sit around the belly button on me. That will all depend on your waist measurements as you may find it will look slightly sheerer on you than it does me.
Otherwise I think these are great; they are super comfortable around the waist and the elastic in them are amazing. They have not loosened at all during my wear and I did tug at them loads just to see!
Now there is a little section on the thigh where it shows from the band to the thigh band, this is all reinforced it seems. I didn’t notice it at first until I took this image!
I am loving this colour, and I think these are a damn great pair to have in your collection for cooler months. I didn’t expect to love them as much as I do, and I am so glad I got to try these out. Watch this space for another review coming up soon!
