I can’t tell you how long I have had this pair sitting in my ‘Reviews To Do’ basket for, and I have finally got round to getting them on to blog about. I got these in the sale on eBay some time ago (along with another pair that is still yet to come) and I have always picked other fishnet tights over these.
Well this time, I took these out to play and well… Let’s say it was interesting.
Denier: Around 40
Materials: 94% polyamide, 6% elastane
Price: £12.00 / Sale £1.50
Website: No Longer Available
Let’s opt for one of my favourites; black on black. I decided to pair these nets with a bodycon bell sleeve dress and some lace-up court shoes.
Dress: AX Paris
Tights: Ann Summers
Heels: Steve Madden
From The Website: Looks can be deceiving. Keep your seductive secrets under wraps with the crotchless tights.
– Fishnet tights
– Crotchless and bumless
– Throw on a dress or skirt – look nice, play naughty
The Packaging: I haven’t reviewed Ann Summers on here before, but have worn their hosiery in the past, and most of their packaging looks like this. It’s a slim box with the model wearing the hosiery on the front, and it goes into slight detail at the back.
When you get in, you will find them neatly packed with a piece of card in one leg. And this is when I realised that there is no suspender strap at the back of the tights – only the front, so this will be fun(!)
Getting Them On: well this was pretty tricky to do as the tights kept twist around to begin with. I managed to get them on fine eventually, but they aren’t the quickest and easiest pair to get on.
They were fine going around anklets and up the legs otherwise 🙂
On The Legs: well these were a pair I don’t think I will be wearing out again. I had the issue of them falling down so much during the day, I had to keep tugging them up. They ended up literally inches away from my knees. With it not having a back strap to hold it up, these fall so easily – and let me add the image of the model is a complete lie. They do not stay that high at all, even when you get them on initially, they sit a lot lower!
The quality of these were ok in terms of the netting and durability, otherwise I gotta say the suspender straps were a pain in my tushy the whole day!
The fit of them are ok; I felt they were slightly big for me, even though they are a duo size. I mean to begin with, they were fine. It’s only when you start walking and moving about that they decide to do their own thing. For ages I thought it was my bodycon dress pulling them down, but I wore them on its own for a while when I got home and they did the exact same thing!
The feel of them are pretty rough and grainy; it’s not a pair that your dress would slide right over but would get stuck against. These were too much hassle in my eyes!
The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, the toes have reinforcement on the front and back and they cover the toes completely. This means it would be harder to wear open toe heels unless you opt for a small peep toe. It then works into the micro-net design.
Around the toes, feet and ankle, they have plenty of wiggle room and are not too tight. They don’t have any pressure added around this area and are comfortable to be in all day long.
The Waistband: well to be honest there is not much point in this band as it does nothing. It holds up ok, but it does tend to slip down due to the straps wanting to push themselves further down the thighs.
The strip under the waistband is just useless; it’s so baggy on me and it’s fitted whatsoever. There was so much room for them to move about; to be it was a waste of time. These would be ideal for the bedroom only and that’s it!
I wouldn’t bother unless you’re looking for something for the bedroom only. These really annoyed the heck out of me all day long and they are just a pair I wouldn’t even recommend.
