Back into Pretty Polly we go, as I have some pairs of tights and holdups to get onto the blog still. This was a pair I got gifted in my little goodie box, and I loved the style as soon as I saw it. Normally the backseam is on the back, but this time we are working with it sitting at the front!
Size: One Size
Denier: Around 60 – 80
Materials: 85% Nylon, 14% Elastane, 1% Cotton
I really should have paired some colour with these tights, but being in a rush meant I pull out the first thing I get my eyes on go. I wore my tunic dress, which I wrapped a belt around to give it a little more shaping and added my platform block heels to finish off the look.
Tunic: Dorothy Perkins
Tights: Pretty Polly
Shoes: New Look
From The Website: Taking the concept of a seam to a new level, Pretty Polly Versatile has both a front and a back seam. It’s designed, as the name suggests, for versatility. By having a front and a back seam, it enhances your legs more than any other design you could imagine. This means you can wear it with any dress or skirt you’d like and it’ll always give you the very best lengthening effects possible, every single time. It’s a beautiful design that can potentially enhance your outfit more than any Pretty Polly item has done before.

The Packaging: this is what I meant when I fell in love with the design. I just saw this bold seam on the front, and thought these are gonna be great!
Once again, these came in a slim box, with the model wearing them on the front and the back going into a little more detail. When you get in, you will find these folded into a small square with promo card inside.
Getting Them On: as these are a one size, this means you will have a lot of room and stretch to play with, so I made sure I didn’t tug them up too much – I would have to push it all back down again otherwise. These were fine getting on over the feet and anklets, and they roll up smoothly on the legs too.
The only thing you need to pay attention to is getting your line straight up the legs. I always find it easier to do at the back than the front due to my knobbly knees!
On The Legs: well let me just say that I love this whole design! Not only do you have small circle netting around the legs, but that seam is just bold and beautiful! This is one that you can practically wear either way – front or back although having it at the front really is a game changer.
The denier is pretty thick so you get good leg coverage all over without much skin showing through. The only time you would if if you really stretch them out.
The quality of these are pretty good I have to say; I didn’t manage to snag these at all during the day, or encounter any rips either. These also have plenty of stretch to them (due to them being one size) so they will hug the legs real good!
The fit of them are great, and I will say this vary depending on your size. As I had enough material to give me amazing leg coverage and they hugged the legs, this might not be the same for those who are larger sized.
The feel of them I will say are quite rough; if you couldn’t see, my dress was clinging onto the material a lot and didn’t flow like it should. It’s quite a grainy rough feel, which isn’t too much of an issue, but it’s not something I really like personally. It just means a lot of dust and particles in the air can cling on so you’re forever picking it off your legs.
The Toes & Ankle: as these are quite thick, they do have slightly reinforced toes. I would still be careful with your nails in them, but otherwise it’s thick enough around this area to support you throughout the day. The great thing about these is that the front seam starts right from the toe seam as well!
Around the feet, these are a lovely fit and there is plenty of room and no pressure added during the day either, so it works really well if you’re on your feet!
The same can be said around the ankles too!
The Waistband: now this is a long waistband on me, in terms of how high it sits. Once again, this will depend on your waist really, but as mine is quite small, I had so much stretch and these sat quite high too! You have a section which works in a triangle that is all reinforcement, before it becomes the netted part.
I gotta say these are pretty awesome, and I love the way they looked. It added a deep look to my outfit and I thought it looked great with the seam sitting at the front.
