Oroblu Scot Tartan Patterned Tights

Now let’s get some tartan on the blog. This cute pair has to be one of my feminine favourites for summer! I normally don’t do tartan, and actually I tend to stay away. But this is a nice little twist on the classic tartan print, so let’s see how it goes!

The Packaging: if you didn’t know Oroblu already, this is how the packaging looks. The front of the packaging shows the model wearing it in the blue and yellow tartan colour whereas I have the the nude with red, pink and white tartan to it. The back goes into more detail about the hosiery, along with a small window, sizing guide and hosiery care.

When you get in, you will find these flat folded around plain card and horizontally folded so there is no foot or leg shapin.

Getting Them On: not going to lie, but I am nervous trying these on in a medium size. I have done them once before in Oroblu Taylor Tights and they ended up being amazing. But you just never seem to know sometimes hey 🙂

So I did my usual scrunch and roll up the feet and legs, and I didn’t have to tug up too much just in case I was left with a bunch of material right at the top of my legs. I have to say I liked having a nice amount of stretch in these as it allowed me to get these up nicely without having to worry about running out of nylon and then starting again!

On The Legs: I have to say the colour is something that I had mixed thoughts about. At first I thought the base of them was too ‘creamy’ looking for the legs, but once I was out and about in the sun, that changed to a nice tan looking colour instead. So it worked out in the end 🙂  By the way I did a mixture of pictures so you can see the difference between normal lighting and flash.

The denier being 20 is perfect for that sheerness as the base and then the coloured lines being a thicker denier to really stand out on the legs. This also means that you would need to be careful (I mean who wouldn’t be anyways when wearing hosiery) as these could end up getting ruined!

This leads me onto the quality of them; I spent most of my day rushing around in this pair and it has kept itself pristine all day long. This means so snags, no rips, no pulls or tugs on them at all, so they are still looking fresh 🙂

As these are also a size larger than I would normally go for, I felt I had enough room in these to move. They didn’t feel tight or loose for that matter, and they hugged the legs really well. This means the elasticity in these are superb!

The feel of these are super smooth and really nice to wear. I felt comfortable being in them all day and had no issues either. They didn’t cling or itch me at all.

The design is a new one for me; I can’t say I have done a pair like this before, but I am so glad I did. I could have easily paired it with simple colours, but I wanted to get out of the comfort zone and create a feminine look, and this helped me to create the perfect city chic look too 🙂

The Toes & Ankle: not much to really say here apart from they have been a dream to wear. I had plenty of room to wiggle my toes and allow my feet to breathe. They have such a lovely fit around the foot and ankle, with no signs of wrinkles or creases either. I don’t think the toes are reinforced, so do be careful of long and sharp nails.

The Waistband: as you can see is a real nice thick higher denier piece going across the stomach and waist. They were so soft and never rolled down once which is amazing. I wasn’t too sure how my day was going to go with a band like this, but I have to say it went well as you can see from the images below!

They held up the tights really well, and they clung around the waist softly too. There is also plenty of elasticity in the band so it will hug you each and every time you move them away from the waist 🙂

My Thoughts?

I gotta say I am so happy I got to try a size medium in these. I really did love them and they fit so well around the legs and waist too 🙂 It just goes to show sometimes there is not much difference in sizing (depending on the brand)

Overall, I would recommend these for sure, especially if you like tartan patterns 🙂
