Okay back into another heavy print from Pamela Mann. For those of you who might have missed it, I didn’t do a blog on them (I kept it as 3 simple Instagram posts) and I thought this time I need to do one so you all can see what they’re fully like up close and personal on the legs.
Size: One Size
Materials: 97% Nylon, 3% Elastane
Now we are doing a fancy night out in these; I wore my new oversized blazer paired with my court shoes the girls at work has gifted me kindly. I wanted to keep it simple but effective and let the legs take the stares 🙂
Tights: Pamela Mann
Shoes: Public Desire
From The Website: Stunning lace net tights with an intricate paisley style pattern.
The Packaging: I won’t go into great detail as most of their packaging is the same. They use the same cardboard packaging and switch the card inside (which I think is such a good idea and cost-effective as well).
When you get in, the tights have their own plastic packaging. As I unravelled them, you find they have a piece of card in the leg to show off the design and folded flat.
Getting Them On: as you can see from the image below, I had TONS of stretch and room in these so I didn’t have to worry at all about being too careful getting them on. They don’t really catch onto anklets easily and they roll up the legs so well. These are pretty thick and quite heavy I have to say so do keep that in mind when you’re getting them on that you won’t need to tug and pull up as much.
On The Legs: okay so let me start of with the quality as that’s probably the shortest section I’m going to write. These don’t catch easily as you think they might due to their elasticity and smooth feel they have. I was so surprised when I slipped into these as they are so different to what I imagined; I thought it would be a rough pair with so much stretch that it would sag a bit of me and it would just feel horrible on the legs.
This is nothing like that let me tell you; if anything it’s the opposite and I loved being in them!
The design is heavy as you can tell, but as they’re on my slim legs it will look quite busy and ‘messy’, But seeing the image above, on larger legs, you will see the full lace effect properly. I feel that these are best on slightly larger individuals where they will be able to do the design justice than on slimmer legs where it gets lost and looks how it does below.
The fit of them are a one-size pair, which means these are great for those who do struggle to find their perfect size. I have to admit this will certainly fit those who are larger with ease. I had so much room in these, and thankfully there was plenty of elasticity in them as well so they stayed hugging my legs rather than sagging about and falling off me.
The Toes & Ankle: so the toes come reinforced as you can see with that thicker denier plain toe strip below.I had enough wiggle room in these as the material around the toes is quite large to the point I could really stretch them out!
This wasn’t much of an issue as I was wearing closed toe heels, but I wouldn’t wear these with sandals with that material on the ends.
Around the ankles, it was a lovely smooth finish and no sign of any wrinkles either.
The Waistband & Gusset: so the waistband I really wanted to show you the full effect but I couldn’t without showing you too much of myself.
Basically this band reached over my chest without any issues and stretched out super wide on the sides, so you get enough room in these to breathe. Luckily for me, these did fit and I didn’t have any issues with them falling down during the night either. I thought I might as they were slightly loose, but luckily that grip from the tights did the job!
The gusset – well there isn’t one. It’s pure lace all around, with a small seam.
I think these are gorgeous and I do love my heavy prints from time to time. I do feel that these were slightly big for me, but I was more than willing to give them a go on a night out for sure and they served me well. They weren’t tight on me at all and I had room to breathe too!
I would certainly recommend these if you’re into statement pairs!
