Jonathan Aston Perforated Leggings

Well it’s been some time since I have been in a pair of leggings, so I thought why not bring them to the blog today.

Normally I tend to do leggings as a casual thing, especially when they’re black. But this time I wanted to do something a little more dressy, possibly for work or some smart occasion …

The Review

From The Website: The future is always a popular topic for the world of fashion design. Leg wear is no differnet, and the inclusion of a futuristic item of leg wear like this in Jonathan Aston’s collection is a welcome one. Perforated is a simple design with thick black nylon leggings flanked by two panels of faux leather, with a row of perforations down the front that show off the stitching. The result is a cyberpunk inspired instant classic, with a Neo-Tokyo look that is always popular with those who like a healthy dose of leather, tattoos and superbikes in their look.

* High shine
* Perforated panels
* Instant glam look
* 55% Viscose
* 20% Polyamide
* 20% Polyester
* 5% Elastane

The Packaging: as these came from UKTights directly, these weren’t sealed like hosiery normally are. These came in open thick packaging, which is pretty sturdy I have to say! The front shows the model wearing the hosiery, with the back going into little detail about the leggings.

When you get in, you will find these do have a bit of weight to them. These aren’t a thin pair let me tell you that (which means they are already looking good in terms of quality in my eyes)

Getting Them On: here I am praying that these won’t be big on me. I hate my sizing sometimes as I fluctuate between XS and S, but I was fine with these. They weren’t too fitted so I would have to tug them up the legs, but I could easily pull these right up to the waist with ease.

On The Legs: I gotta say I really love the fit of these! These have got to be one of my favourite pairs!! My legs have enough room in these, so they can actually breathe and move without feeling restricted or too tight. The only place I encountered wrinkles was around the knees (which is normal) and everywhere else was a straight flush fit (if you have wrinkles scattered around, it shows you how fitted these are on you).

The feel of them are so soft and so lovely on; they have been so comfortable and breathable due to the perforated side panels. When stretched enough, you will see your skin colour peering through, but as these were a spot on fit, I didn’t have that issue.

The quality can I just say how amazing they are; they are not only quite thick and durable, but they also don’t make your legs feel hot in any way. I have been in these all day and not had a single issue in them. If anything, they have been a godsend whilst I have been running errands!

That side panel gives these a more casual feel; and also making them look slightly sporty too. With these, you can dress these in so many ways, and the best part is that you don’t have to cover your bum in them either. You can treat these like actual trousers if you wish.

I always have a rule; never let you tushy show in leggings. As these are thick enough and doesn’t expose a single part of you from ankle to waist …

Flaunt away!

When it comes to stretch, these do have a little bit of stretch in the legs, but not a lot that these could fit a size medium. They have enough so your legs don’t feel restricted and you’re able to walk around in them all day long.

Around The Ankles: normally I have a tendency to fold these up once or twice, but this time I left them fully down so you can see length wise what they were like on me. These are a real nice fit on the ankles as it is; they don’t look loose at all and aren’t fitted either.

These also don’t leave any markings around your ankles after a day’s wear, so you don’t need to worry about that!

The Waistband: so the top image let me explain what I did there; I wanted to show you that not only do these fit me perfectly on the waist, but I had a nice bit of stretch to them. This is full elasticated and so comfortable that they don’t dig into you at all.

I literally felt like I was wearing nothing on the waist, and I am not joking about that either! I loved how huggable they were from ankle to waist, and they were so good to me the whole day.

As you can see from the images below, it’s such a gorgeous fit and no bagginess either. I am super happy with these!

Now as normal leggings, these won’t have a cotton gusset to them before anyone asks!

My Thoughts?

I cannot explain how happy I am that I have finally found a pair of fashionable leggings that I can wear! Finding the right fit is so hard, but these are just a godsend! I loved being in them all day, and the perfect thing is that I can treat them like trousers and wear shorter tops than having to worry about exposing too much!

The quality, the fit and the way they look is just amazeballs and I would certainly be recommending these!
