I seem to have a lot of Wolford in my collection lately – and I am so pleased as there are some simple styles I have wanted to review for ages.
Now this pair I wanted to style a little differently compared to my normal work attire. I was thinking for ages what I could do, what would work with nudes in (pretty much) winter time without looking weird. And pop … Out comes my throw-on mode!
Colour: Sahara / Black
Materials: 82% nylon, 18% elastane
I opted for my midi bodycon dress, paired with my crop hoody and I added my Timberland heeled boots to finish it off. I kept my hair bedhead and just popped in pearl studs. I was gonna opt for ref lippy, but decided against it in the end.
From The Website: Timelessly feminine: these razor-thin tights with a mat look are a true classic. They have always demanded attention with their knitted seam from the toe to the top. Sensual elegance that never gets old.
Exclusive feel with an extraordinarily even look
Excellent stretch and a perfect fit, thanks to the use of double-wrapped elastane in each row
Soft knitted waistband with the Wolford logo
Barely visible shadow toe reinforcement
The Packaging: I feel like I don’t need to even tell you now about the packaging! Basically below is what you will find 🙂
One thing that did concern me is that the seams weren’t as straight as I thought they would be, so we shall see if they glide on in a line or wiggle their way up!
On The Legs: so after making sure my line up was good from the back, I gotta say these did me good! I gotta say simple but effective was the plan today with my outfit.
The denier being 10 was great for a make-up look on the legs, however the colour wasn’t really working for me. It looks gorgeous and golden in images, but on the legs, it makes them look quite pale and dusky rather than tan and golden. Luckily I had a midi dress, so most of the legs were covered!
The quality I still cannot fault; they have been great with no little hiccups at all. There is a little stretch in them so your legs aren’t suffocating in them.
The fit of them are great; true to size which I am always happy about. This time I didn’t feel like I needed a small as there was some stretch so I was happy 🙂
The feel of them were so soft and so nice; a lovely little shine to them as well when the flash hits. It would be looking amazing in the sun, but sadly there wasn’t any today!
I haven’t got much to say about the backseam to be honest, apart from the fact that they do stay put as long as you have your line up in the correct position. These hardly moved at all, and only did slightly when I was sitting down and the back of my legs rubbed against the chair or something but it wasn’t a major adjustment made. It’s the colour that still gets me. In one of the images below, you will see what I mean…
The Toes & Ankle: so the toes are reinforced which I am super happy about, and they are sandal toe as well, so you can pair these with almost any footwear and be ok! I would still be wary of long or sharp nails, but otherwise you should be good to roll!
Around the ankles, these are a lovely smooth finish.
The Waistband: so the waistband is another good little gem. They have sat in this position pretty much all day without moving. They don’t feel tight at all (even after that big lunch) and they certainly don’t roll over itself either creating little lumpy bands.
These do have plenty of elasticity to them as well; not too much so it looses it quite quickly, but a good amount so you certainly get a good few wears out of the pair.
I think these are great, but I would opt for Gobi/Black in terms of the colour, as Gobi works for my skin colour and gives it a gorgeous tan look. Otherwise I really do love these; a simple pair for the wardrobe that will work for any occasion 🙂
