Now these little beauties were a lovely gift from an amazeballs friend. I saw these a while ago and thought they were really nice, but didn’t end up buying them. And what do you know? They ended up being gifted to me!
Size: 2 – Small
Materials: 88% Polyamide, 12% Elastane
Website: UKTights – Fiore Darya 40 Tight
I was debating whether to do a skater skirt with these tights or just a normal pencil one. After a massive debate with myself as to what skirt to wear, I went with my cobalt blue pencil skirt paired with my bodysuit. I added my platform heels and drop earrings to finish the look.
I was gonna do my hair straight to make it more office-like, but decided against that and left it natural.
Shoes: New Look
From The Website: Darya is one of the most modern and futuristic of Fiore’s new designs. It is striking, with a really edgy look that’s a truly eye catching number. The lace up motifs still keep them feminine as well, as do the mock sock effects. Fashion tights from Fiore are always a treat and full of innovation and intrigue.

The Packaging: is quite sensual when you look at it. It’s fancy, it’s seductive, and it looks so good! The front shows the model wearing the hosiery, but doesn’t show the full design. The back goes into more detail about them, along with the sizing guide, composition and hosiery care.
When you get in, you will find these flat folded and wrapped around card. I also found that these seemed quite static when I was inspecting them – not too sure why but it better not cause any hassle when I actually get them on!
Getting Them On: so I did my usual scrunch and roll, but this time bent at all angles in front of the mirror to make sure that I get my lace-up design as straight as I can from the back. I took some time to do this and then rolled up as usual. The front design I had to pinch into place a few times to sit it where I wanted.
On The Legs: I gotta say they are looking fire. I didn’t expect them to turn out like this (don’t ask how I expected them to be as I can’t remember myself when I first bought them) but I am loving it!
The quality is not bad; they aren’t top notch but they are decent enough to get a few wears out of them at least. They have a nice bit of stretch in them when you are unfolding them on the legs. However, I have to say I managed to snag these (sad face) – once on the 40 denier pair just over the knee and in the sheer part which I had to quickly hairspray!
The fit of them are spot on; so if you’re unsure you can always go a size up. Medium fits me quite well too. The feel of them are super soft and really nice to be in. I also found that the sheerness on the top is prone to being snagged compared to the 40 denier bottom half, so just be mindful.
The design is just amazeballs; I love the whole boot look it has going on, especially when the skirt covers the top of the tights so it looks real fancy. These would also work with longer skirts if you wanted it to have more of a laced boot effect.
The Toes & Ankle: the toes have plenty of wiggle room to them and no pressure is applied during the day. However if you go a size too small, you may find this is the case! There isn’t any extra material hanging around either which is a bonus. The only thing I did spot is (depending on your heels/footwear) the tights gather around the toes to create little wrinkles, which wasn’t pleasant to look at.
They smoothed themselves out after a good while, but it did annoy me a little.
Around the ankles, these are gather only slightly due to the thicker denier, otherwise they were fine.
The Waistband: so comfortable you forget you are wearing one around your waist. They sit around the belly button on me and they hardly move. They don’t roll over itself, they don’t shimmy down when you walk and they don’t dig in when you’ve eaten too much.
One thing I do really love is their panty design; they have it so the front and back are covered in a panty shape and then the sides have a laced-up design on the side. I thought it was a lovely idea to really bring the whole thing together.
I think these are gorgeous and a right showstopper pair from behind; the front doesn’t look that interesting I know but it’s a lovely piece to dress up or down. I would certainly wear these again with a longer skirt to see if it has the same effect!
