Gatta Girl-Up Cat Tights

Yep it is now the time to bring out the mock stockings (well more than usual I will say) as winter is coming round quick! Mock stockings (you can also get suspenders – the difference is where they end) creates such a cute layered look (depending on the style you get) which I find you can work in so many ways. Even though this outfit I wore to work, I would pair with a short skirt, shorts or even a dressy dress.

My Outfit

I wore a simple black bodycon t-shirt dress, paired with these cute mock stockings and wore my white Dr Martens. These were wet (thanks to the downpour we had) so they had to be left to dry downstairs!

You can always add chunky-heeled boots or heels if you wanna go all fancy fancy!

The Packaging: throwing it back a little when the packaging looked half drawn, half real on the front. It shows off the mock stockings really well. The back goes into slightly more detail with hosiery care, sizing guide and the following:

“Fancy ladies’ tights with the addition of elastane yarn”

Once you get inside, you will find these flat packed, wrapped around card ready to get on.

On The Legs: as these aren’t folded or creased in a particular way, you just need to make sure that when you scrunch down that the design is ready to get on straight as I tried it without scrunching and pulled them up, the design started twisting!

On the legs they look super cute; like actual socks on top of 20 denier tights. I love the way these been created; the bottom 40 denier is still quite see through rather a thick heavy denier. As you can see, the more it’s stretched out, the more sheer they become so I was left with a slight ombre effect from the feet to the cat design.

The quality of these are great; I had no issues being in them today which is always a bonus.

The fit and feel is spot on too; they felt comfortable all day without them feeling too tight or loose on the legs. I would say I needed to tug them up a few times during the day as I felt they were slipping after 8 hours wear and started to wrinkle at the ankles, but nothing too major.

The cat design is super cute; it real did add a playful twist to my outfit at work.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes are really popping through (and to be fair my nails are pretty bright here!). I don’t think these are reinforced, but they did well throughout the day so I had no issues.

Around the ankles however, I did find them wrinkling up a little. I thought the denier wasn’t that thick to do so, but clearly managed to. Luckily I was wearing boots so it didn’t matter too much, but something to watch out for.

My Thoughts?

These are adorable and such a cute statement piece. If you’re into this type of thing, I would say get yourself a pair. As I mentioned you can dress this in so many ways to be honest; the choice is endless. I did mine for work as always, but I would certainly wear these on a night out or a day trip into town.

The denier, quality and overall thoughts on them are great; apart from the wrinkley ankles!
