The Packaging: so these are double packed when they arrive on the doorstep. I had an outer cardboard box and then this inside with padding around it.
So the box it comes in is proper sturdy and real good to be honest; I love it when shoes come all protected like this 🙂
The shoes themselves are in individual mesh bags to protect the patent from rubbing against each other and scratches. They also come with their own mesh bag to keep them in (I always do that if they are provided to preserve the quality of them).
When you get the shoes out their bags, they have padding in the point of the shoes to help keep the shape at the front. I have had shoes in the past where they have arrived all dented and bent, where it’s hard to slip your foot into them – so out comes the hairdryer to loosen the top part!
Getting Them On: as these are double strapped, this means my feet are going nowhere! I easily slid my foot into these, and did the straps to the tightest they could go and we were good to go. I have to say they were slightly big, but it just means I poke some more holes in to make it fit.
Now to begin with, if you’re not used to ‘raw’ height as I like to call it (this means no platform at the front of your foot) then you might find it hard to walk in these. They do take its toll on your feet, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing these for long periods of time unless you’ve trained yourself to do so. I know I have to do it gradually otherwise my feet kill for 2 days straight!
On The Feet: they look fab! I love the red and black contrast paired with the outfit. It just screams out danger with a bit of edge!
They feel find on the feet to begin with, but they do start hurting if you’re on your feet for a good few hours. They are slightly padded inside, but if you have some room in your shoes, then add a slim insole to help you walk for a little longer. I normally do so if I feel I need it.
The heel at the back look super stunning and really does compliment the outfit along with the legs.
I didn’t feel my feet slip in these during the day, but if you do, then I would either stuff the point with some cotton wool to stop this or pop an insole/grips in to help with this.
These hardly rub when they’re on, but then again I have that protective layer of nylons on. I’m not too sure what these would be like against the skin – so I need to now try this out and see if I end up with a blister or not!
These shoes are gorgeous and such a head turner. Due to the height, I know these won’t be for everyone, but if you can hack it for a few hours then I would certainly recommend these! I think they’re amazing.
They fit so well (as long as you get the right size or stick an insole in) and they give you that ‘power’ look too!
