Bring on the heavy patterns! I gotta say I do love thick heavy patterned hosiery from time to time; it allows you to create different looks (as well as being cosy during the colder months).
Anyways, so these are part of their new collection which means I don’t have much information as to where to buy them from at the moment 😦
Colour: Nero / Black

Keeping it cosy for work, I went with my stone cami top, with my bottle green ribber bodycon skirt, paired with my cream cardigan and my tan wedge booties. I have to say I was so snug (even though some of you may think it’s too layered!)
Top: New Look
Cardigan: New Look
Skirt: New Look
The Packaging: in line with their new look and plastic-free packaging, these have the model at the front wearing the hosiery, with the back going into little detail about hosiery care, sizing guide and a little blurb about them.
When you get in, you will find these not wrapped around card (due to the thickness), and they are super small! This only means that these have got a nice bit of elasticity to them on the legs, so they will hug real good!
In one of the images below, you can see the length against the arm! Proper cute right?!
Getting Them On: obviously taking care over any anklets, these were fine going on. The one thing I did’t realise that these have thin lines going through the pattern; back down they go so I can line them up properly 🙂
On The Legs: they fit so damn well! I love the way they really hug the legs and go from this real tight-knit look to something so intricate. I didn’t expect them to look like this to be honest.
The denier is thick enough to make the cut-out detail really work well against the legs, and it gives that slight bit of warmth as well on a colder day.
The quality of these are good; I wont’ say outstanding as if I was to snag these I wouldn’t really know (unless it turned into a rip!). They seem to be real good and have good durability throughout the day.
The fit and feel is spot on; with it being half the size of your leg to begin with really helps when you get it on and stretch them over. It hugs all the bumps and gaps nicely so you’re left with a nice smooth finish on the legs. These do feel slightly rough to touch as they are a thicker material, but don’t let that put you off 🙂
The Toes: as you can see below, the toes aren’t reinforced so do take extra care with long / sharp nails. The design starts right from the toe team and works its way up to the waistband.
Your feet and toes have plenty of room to breathe and move without feeling any pressure from the hosiery.
The Waistband & Gusset: now my not so favourite thing about these is that the band starts to overlap on itself from time to time not giving that flush finish under bodycons. It started off fine in the morning, but as the day went on, I started to see it crinkle down a little!
The band itself is elasticated well, holds its shape well throughout the day and it doesn’t lose any elasticity regardless how many times you pull down and up!
The gusset is interesting as it doesn’t have a proper cotton patch to it; it’s more like plain nylon really. I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing for those who go commando, either way you have one!
Overall I think these are a lovely thick design for winter. It gives you the chance to create some real great looks on darker colder days without having to compromise (where you gotta wear thick black plain ones!)
The denier and quality are great once again on these 🙂
