And hello to the new Gatta Royale collection. There are quite a few styles within this (all pretty much looking the same) with a few slight changes to each pair.
So I am going on a smart casual one today gearing up for Autumn (I am so not looking forward to this!) which means time to start pulling out the thigh boots!
Now just to let you know that I cannot find these anywhere to purchase at the moment, but I will keep hunting for links or just email me for updates 🙂
Colour: Nero / Black
Size: 2 / Small
Materials: 93% polyamide, 7% elastane
I teamed up my burgundy-like shirt over my t-shirt dress and added grey thigh boots to create a casual look. I didn’t want to overdo it by adding heavy jewellery so I kept to simple studs and added a silver drop necklace later on in the day.
T-Shirt Dress: Jennyfer
The Packaging: so Gatta have decided to change their packaging this season into something pretty cool. They have the outer cardboard with all the info on (it’s always the same normally), with the inner card displaying the model. This is a cheat way so you use the exact same packaging but just change the image inside to match the hosiery!
So on the back of the packaging, it’s pretty basic and the standard info Gatta normally tend to give you:
“Tights for ladies, patterned, made of braided elastan type yarn, matt”
So once you get in, you will find these are not wrapped in plastic like all the others tend to be; they are wrapped in a fold-able photographic card, folded neatly over card. It’s interesting I gotta say as I find it weird that the hosiery isn’t really protected in any way apart from the card!
Anyways so looking at the tights, these are flat folded ready to get on. You will need to slightly twist them at the top to make sure they sit exactly how they’re supposed to!
Getting Them On: so little twist done and we are ready to scrunch and roll. As these are patterned from toes to the waistband, you don’t need to worry too much about getting them on accurately (although I always will!)
These were fine over anklets as long as you take care going over any sharp ones.
On The Legs: these are so cute! I love the whole fishnet concept with the addition of those love hearts to make them a lot more feminine and not so bold.
The denier being 20 really does help to give you a lovely sheer coverage on the legs, and also helps the design to really stand out on the legs.
The quality of these are real good; not one issue all day today 🙂 I’m sure these could snag easily if you aren’t careful, but as I was in thigh highs all day today, there was no chance of that happening.
The fit and feel were to die for; they fit so well on the legs, around the tushy and on the waist. I found these true to size, but if you’re unsure then I would recommend the next size up just in case! As these are quite elasticated, you won’t really find them slipping down. The feel of them are super soft and smooth for a matte finish, which I really like. Even though these do state that they are matte, they do have a subtle shine to them when the flash hits it. I have a couple of other pairs coming up in a similar design where you can see that slight shimmer to them 🙂
The Toes & Ankle: I mentioned that these were designed from the toe seams to the waistband, so you won’t find these reinforced. I kept my nails short for once as I knew I would end up getting my toes through them in thigh boots.
There is plenty of wiggle room for the toes, no extra material at the sides and the ankles are kept wrinkle-free throughout the day too.
The Waistband & Gusset: so as you can see below, the waistband is a couple of inches thick which then turns into sheer goodness! This is great for those who want to opt for short dresses and skirts.
One thing I really did like is that these did not overturn during the day; this was kept flat against my waist the whole day.
In terms of elasticity, these do hold really well. I did give them a good stretch and they bounced back into shape again after!
The gusset is a weird one it’s straight nylon! I cannot see any type of cotton patch whatsoever to be honest. I don’t know if this is a bad or good thing….
I am liking this collection already! We got off to a good start, with a pair I would certainly recommend. It’s a good one for those who like the concept of fishnets, and like to layer = giving you a 2-in-1 look 🙂
