Merry Style Opaque Holudps

I know you must be thinking I am mad to be doing opaques in summer weather; I have to say it was hard but I needed to. As my laser session was due, it meant that I had some light hair patches scattered around my legs that needed sorting (TMI I know but it needed to be known for this post)

So that is why I decided to get into a pair of opaques (luckily they are holdups and not tights) so I have a bit of air flow to the legs!

The Review

From The Website: Self-supporting stockings made using Lycra® 3D technology. The original Lycra® fibers have a large stretching capacity (up to 600%) and is able to return to its original shape. This feature is further enhanced by the 3D weaving technology in which the fabric is knitted in different directions. As a result the stockings are fashionable, more flexible and extremely smooth. Fits very well to the body.

The Packaging: now the thing I always find with this brand is that they are very plain in packaging; to the point you actually don’t know what’s inside. As these were gifted, I had to go back onto Amazon and find out what they looked like before I got into the packaging. Not a bad thing, but then again if you have multiple pairs like I do, it’s hard to remember!

Getting in, these are thick so the packaging is not a slimline one as you can imagine.  These were wrapped around promotional card, flat packed so you just scrunch down and roll on 🙂

Getting Them On: as these are so elasticated, you won’t have an issue with pulling them up higher than mid-thigh (like I normally do with holdups). They stretched real nice and not once could you tell on the legs that it was over-stretched leaving weird markings  over the legs.

I did one leg using my normal technique to get them on, and the other I decided to just pull them right up (and it was fine to do so over my anklets).

On The Legs: I love how opaque and soft they are. They don’t look rough at all (and they don’t feel it either) – just a simple gorgeous pair!

The denier is 60, however I feel like it looks thicker and darker than that. In terms of touch, they do feel like they are 60, but look wise I feel like they are at least 80!

The quality of them are so good; not once did I manage to catch or snag these (and to be honest it was a careless day today). These are 100% durable as I did put it to the test after work; I fully stretched them out as they said it returns to their normal shape and length (and it did to be fair), I scratched and pulled the hell out of it too, just to see if anything would happen (and nothing did!)

The fit and feel is to die for; they are super soft and smooth on the legs. They are a real comfy pair to be in and I can see these being pulled out again for winter!

The fit of them fit my legs perfectly; they fit into every gap and cover every bump with no issues. I really cannot say anything bad about these to be honest!

The Toes & Ankle: now this is where you can tell it’s 60 denier due to the sheerness you get around this section. You can still see nail varnish popping through, and you won’t have to worry about reinforced toes as 60 deniers normally are great with long nails. There is plenty of wiggle room in these and no extra material on the sides of the feet!

Around the ankles, there is no wrinkling or any extra material hanging around here which is great news!

The Band: the design is super cute and quite retro; I would certainly pair these with a nice skater dress or vintage fitted dress so it works hand in hand. I love how it’s quite bold which works with the opaque to really make them stand out.

The fit of them are great; they have some stretch in them so you can sit them wherever you like and they actually don’t lose elasticity throughout the day either.

These have a double silicone band inside to give you enough grip on the skin; although just know that these will mark your legs after a day’s wear (which will go eventually).

My Thoughts?

I love how quirky these are; just a nice little twist to a standard opaque pair which I love. The denier and quality of them are superb for what you get; the fit and feel is stunning on the legs and I can see this pair lasting!
