And out come another pair that I have put off for too long that they’re no longer available to buy from anywhere! I tried to hard to find a place that would still sell them, but that’s the only bad thing about special edition hosiery; they are hard to get hold of!
So this outfit is one that can be worn to so many places; into town, a special occasion, or work if you really wanna go OTT!
Materials: 93% Polyamide, 7% Elastane
Price: £33.00 / Sale £16.50
Website: Currently not available
Let’s go funky; checkered skater dress with those funky tights and out come the suede mules to finish it off!
I wore small studs to keep it subtle and then added my nude-ish lipstick to finish it all off
Heels: River Island
Lipstick: NYX Exotic
The Packaging: it’s full on black and gold at the front of the packaging, with the back showing a small image of the model wearing the hosiery. It also goes into more detail about hosiery care, sizing and the following:
When you get inside, you find these wrapped again in plastic packaging. The only downfall is that one leg has a piece of card in, but I’m trying not to scream about that.
The card is easy to pull out to be honest, and once it’s out, it’s ready to get on!
Getting Them On: I got my gloves on this time as I had to take care with the fabric florals on the nets to help scrunch and roll. Let me also mention that you need to be ultra careful as the florals can tangle up easily in the netting. I didn’t get these stuck as much as I did with the pearls ones before!
The same applies to anklets under nets (unless you’re dong a sheers base) as these can get tangled up!
On The Legs: these are to die for!!! They look absolutely stunning! Okay so let me delve into some detail:
The denier is great; it means you will get some wear out of these for sure. The netting is quite thick which is nice (and what you need really) for them to last you.
The floral design is just super cute; a mix of plain flowers with some little gems dotted around. it just looks super cute and can work with almost anything; work wear, smart or casual! These work from the top of the ankles to under the knees so you get a good piece at the front. Mine was slightly hidden but it looked so nice when you see it front facing!
The quality once again is great; it’s how I mentioned about the denier where you can see these lasting. I didn’t manage to get these caught or ripped anywhere which is always a bonus!
These fit so well too; especially under the knees where you can get some serious gapping. I didn’t which was fab; it meant they fit super well and had plenty of stretch to them too!
The Toes & Ankle: They have been great all day and have given me no grief. I always find with wider nets that (especially round the heels) that the nets widen and look like they’re about to rip, but with these, they have been fab!
The toes have that smaller netting which acts like a reinforcement turning into wider nets at the bottom of the toes. They don’t budge at all during the day and given plenty of wiggle room too!
Around the ankles, these are a nice flush finish without any sign of them gathering! Overall… I’m impressed!
The Waistband & Gusset: so the waistband is a very slim one which actually sits around the belly button. Even if you tried to pull them up higher, you actually can’s as the netting (where the gusset should be) stops you from pulling higher than you should. I actually don’t know if that is a good or bad thing, but we shall roll with it anyways!
So the band is dead comfortable; it’s a nice stretchy one that doesn’t hug the life out of you during the day and doesn’t budge either. There is no gusset in these, so if you’re still going commando …. Bravo!
I am crushing over these bigtime and I wish I got to review them sooner! They are adorable and can work with so much; a great staple for the hosiery wardrobe!
I love the quality, the look and the way they fit and feel. They have been great to wear all day, and those compliments just kept rolling in!
