Another sheer pair are on today just because I wanna power through them all (in a good way!) I have got a good few line-ups for the New Year and to be honest I didn’t want these being pushed back to the end of the pile.
With sheers, just remember you can rock them throughout the year, but in colder months don’t hesitate to play around with extra layers whether that be another pair of hosiery on top or if you experiment with socks. I used to hate layering but once I started to wear over knee socks, it became my favourite when I needed something to look stylish as well as keeping my legs warm.
If you haven’t seen my previous reviews on Veneziana, catch them below:
Colour: Nero / Black
Size: 2 / Small
Materials: 88% polyamide, 12% elastane
Price: TKMaxx £2.99
I was super snug today; I wore my long sleeved stripey dress along with my over knee socks and block heeled shoes.
I had to wear my jacket and snood most of the day as I was out and about a fair bit hence why I ended up taking pictures in them.
I left my jewellery to a minimum as I didn’t show it off a lot – simple pearl studs.
Shoes: New Looks
Jacket: TM Lewin
Snood: Dorothy Perkins
The Packaging: so the front has the model wearing the hosiery along with a rich-looking background. The back goes into slightly more detail:
“Sheer tights with elastane, matt, soft waistband, reinforced body, comfort seam, gusset, reinforced toes”
Not much to say apart from the above and sizing etc.
Getting Inside: Inside these are neatly wrapped around cardboard ready to wear. They are packed flat so you will need to scrunch and roll to make sure that you get the seams near the toes flat against them ready to roll straight up.
On The Legs: these fit so nicely I really can’t complain to be honest. They hugs the legs so well. The only downside is that these do have little streaks up in certain parts, but if you can try and rub them a little, they do go away in the end. I made sure that I didn’t pull up too high in case that happened, but I left enough room when I was rolling up to make sure that it doesn’t happen (and yet it still did!)
The Toes: enough wiggle room, reinforced toes and no pressure throughout the day. You can’t ask for more than that. They didn’t rip or snag either so perfect for longer toenails. I love that little patch that goes right across where it’s visible rather than the invisible (personal choice here) but it does look good with peep toes and some sandals as well.
The Waistband: I loved it!! It’s so comfortable, it stays up all day and I had no problems whatsoever with it. It sits around the waist (looking at belly button level once again) and it stays there too without it rolling down if you’re sitting for long periods of time.
The gusset is cotton (it didn’t mention on the packaging) and if you go without underwear, then it’s perfect for you. Non-irritable, smooth and I’m sure it will keep you good throughout the day.
The Denier & Coverage: these are 15d so they will be super sheer, and as I layered with socks, it works perfect for winter and gives that mock stocking effect too.
No snagging throughout the day which is really good (because it’s the last thing I want) and they just do their job well! I love that these have a shine to them when the light hits them, even though they state they are a matte finish.
I find these perfect to wear day or night, throughout all season and just a wardrobe staple to be honest.
I love this brand anyways, and the fact that these sheers have served me well all day, I have nothing else to say.
If you can get hold of a pair, then do so because the quality is fab, the sheer is just amazing day or night and they are everything you expect them to be without paying top money for it.
