As we’re now heading into Autumn / Winter quicker than we would like to, it’s time to start reviewing some more cosier tights!
I was lounging at home most of the day, and because the house (my inlaws) is fairly big, it gets cold quickly so you do have to layer now and again (They don’t like sticking the heating on too much)….
Just before I go into this, I have searched everywhere for a price and website for you to purchase these (if you like), and then I realised I got the collection before they’ve officially been released, so I’ll note down everything as usual so you know what to look out for when they are available to purchase!
Colour: Mel. Nero / Grey.Black
Size: 2 / Small
Materials: 61% Polyamide, 34% Polyester, 5% Elastane
I went with my white long ribbed jumper and (typical me) my Timberland boots. It took me a while what I can pair these with, seeing as I would normally wear them to work and not so much casually!
I thought it worked well for going into town for a bit…. Well….
Jumper: Dorothy Perkins
The Packaging: this time it has a real model at the front wearing the hosiery (seeing as this is a side design, she is facing to the right). At the back, it gives you the materials, the sizing chart and also some blurb:
“Fancy ladies’ tights with the addition of elastane yarn”
Getting Them On: the first thing I noticed when I was getting these is on – how bent that dotted seam is going up the leg. I thought it was just me at first, but it actually does have one bent leg. The other one lines up perfectly on the other side!!!
On The Legs: they feel lovely and soft. These really do remind me on Autumn/Winter attire, where the legs are covered in thicker denser deniers with darker patterns. Sure you can wear them in summer, but it doesn’t have the same effect when the days are darker!
They mould nicely to the legs, giving it that subtle opaque coverage. Oh by the way, don’t expect these to be totally opaque because they aren’t at all – that’s why you can pull them off in summer months!
The Toes: have a nice amount of wiggle room in them. They fit lovely around the toes and then you get that lovely side design running from the baby toe right up to the band. This area is pretty opaque – and this is due to how small or wide your feet are. The more you stretch, the more it becomes sheer.
The Design: is so cute. But the colour is still growing on me – I can’t say these do much for my legs, but I’m trialling different designs and getting used to them because I’ve got a few more coming up that I need to do and put outfits with!
I think these are fab – no snagging, no quality issues and no complaints! For those of you who like grey tights, I would give the Colette Cat a go, purely because they’re just the same but the design is different on each one!
