Oroblu Milena Tights

Hello again Oroblu! It’s been some time, and I cannot wait to try these out. I’m having a bad day today; hair is just not sitting how I want it to, I can’t seem to find the perfect pair of shoes to match my outfit (I wanted colour but I don’t know which colour) and well… overthinking and overcomplicating doesn’t help!

so to make my life easier and less fussy, I’m going with what I’ve thrown together and just rolling with it.

My Outfit

Looking back at the images I’ve taken, I can see why everyone thought I was a waitress of some sort! Normally I would do a more playful shirt (well I really wanted to wear my white t-shirt but it was in the wash at the time) but I went for my plain silky one with my dungaree dress!

Now the shoes I can’t even begin to tell you how annoyed I was; I realised I have still left some pairs at my parent’s house, which was not helpful so I ended up going with my black strap court shoes. It was easy and simple enough seeing as I couldn’t make my mind up with what colour I wanted to go for.

I kept my hair up and in a messy bun (I got so frustrated with it I just had to keep it away from my face!) and then just added a double choker to finish it off.

The Review

The Packaging: very monochrome and I love it! The model at the front with the brand and the name of the hosiery, and the back is simple enough and gets straight to the point:

Sheer tights with geometric pattern. Flat seams invisible under clothing. Cotton gusset.

Getting Them On: now this is where it can get super frustrating. So one leg rolls on nicely and sits straight. The other leg decided to play havoc with me and twists itself. So you will see one leg being how they should and the other just having its own party! I literally had to spend most of my day trying to untwist these every time I pulled them down, and nothing seemed to work. I even tried them on the other way around, and they were still doing the same thing!

The Toes: so you think it doesn’t get any worse than wonky boxes? Well, I had an incident with my right foot – my toe went straight through it. And that fresh pedi I did? Well that was just destroyed; it completely rubbed off and was left with this scratched mess! The other foot was completely fine; no rips, no snag, no nothing!

I have a feeling that these aren’t reinforced…

The Band: so a good part now! The band is decent; it sits well on the stomach (not too high or too low) and it doesn’t dig in at any point either. The design works right up to the band, so anything short is all good!

On The Legs: don’t even get me started. Let me just talk about the good side (I can’t carry on ranting); I think these look superb on the legs! They’re a lovely denier (20) which gives it a nice coverage and having the boxes outlined in a darker denier just emphasises so well. These do stretch out depending on how your legs are, but they don’t look too bad when it does if I am honest.

They’re smooth to touch, but can snag easily so you do need to be careful. I managed to get a whole patch at the top where the label was. And the worst thing is that the label was a soft one; nothing rough that would actually scrape tights! But it managed to, so I have this horrible patch on the leg!

My Thoughts?

As much as I love this design and the way they look, I have to say it’s one of the worst pairs I have worn in a long time. The quality isn’t great; I got small snags everywhere and that was just after I got them on my legs (they snag way too easily) and the design completely twists on one leg which looks so stupid when you’re standing with your legs together.

For the first time ever, I actually couldn’t wait to get straight home to take them off.

I have so many people come up to me saying ‘How can you walk around like that?’, ‘Is that not bugging you that they’re not even?’, ‘Did you really walk out like that and not think twice about changing your hosiery?’ – trust me when I say they actually said that. Everyone at work knows how much I love my fashion and hosiery, and even they were shocked!

Sorry Oroblu but this isn’t one of your best ones and I certainly won’t be recommending these!
